Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Being a Borg episode, there will be violence, but it's more intense. Whereas the Borg (not to be confused with "First Contact" and later Borg) are about taking technology by force, in previous episodes, the Borg here are more violent, and they actually attack with energy guns, so intense, yet moderate, non graphic, violence. A few dead bodies are briefly shown in the beginning. And the Borg are definitely more murderous in this episode.

Profanity

  • Cinemax content advisory for the more edited airings: TV-14-V for violence (V).
  • Cinemax content advisory for the uncut airings: rated TV-MA-V for violence (V). Hard R/18 (Schnegen Area and BBFC standards). Also we see a very graphic scene with dead bodies and it's quite bloody in the beginning.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The 3rd most intense/frightening episode, 2nd being part II
  • The whole nature of the Borg in this two-parter is disturbing. Instead of it not being personal (although they were always sadistic), they murder and have anger. Definitely not for younger children.
  • Crosis trying to get Data to join his side is a very chilling scene. And he gets Data to graphically recount how it felt to kill someone. Very unnerving.
