Review of Fugitives

Fugitives (2011–2013)
5/10
Interesting but poor production

This is a fast moving, exciting series but one that is unfortunately poorly produced. The audio and camera work is terrible and most times one is unable to hear much of what is being said, and see what is going on. The camera work seems to be handheld and at times is similar to smartphone quality. The plot is confusing in that the characters are not well defined and one has no idea who some of them are, or their role in the series. Telling the story in a less rushed manner would have made for better continuity. Choppy editing and random placements of scenes also contribute to a lack of continuity and linkage between events. Overuse of flashback scenes at the wrong times is distracting. It's not at the level of other series of the same genre e.g Narcos, El Chapo etc., and to enjoy it one has to suspend belief and not try to analyze the actions. Just go with the flow like you would in a movie of this genre that is filled with lots of gratuitous violence and sex!

Season 2 was much worse than season 1 and was thankfully the last of this very poorly conceptualized and produced series!
