Tony Jaa Saved this Movie
29 January 2006
I loved ong bak so i was naturally exited about this movie. It started out very Strong. the scenery was fantastic the story was strong etc. Everything bad pretty much came during and after the boat chase.(if anyone gets miffed that i used the word boat instead of whatever they're actually called u can suck a big one). Even though the hand to hand fighting scenes were not badly directed the boat chase certainly was. And to me if the story doesn't flow the action should.

OK, after tony takes a plane to Sydney the movie gets worse especially when petchtai opens his mouth. Don't get me wrong i thought he was funny and a pretty good actor in Ong Bak but when he speaks in English u can see his delayed reactions. all the rest of the acting is really really bad too. Especially anything that involves the NEWS.

After all that garbage, tony finds Johnny (the guy that took his elephants) and kicks the crap out of his hench-men then they summon with a horn that sounds all through the city, A BUNCH OF BMXers AND SKATERs to come beat up tony with FLORESCENT LIGHT BULBS. Tony's escapes though out this ordeal were fantastic, BUT WHAT A FRIGGEN STUPID CONCEPT!! Then they take you to the "Famous" stairwell scene where the director has been so praised by everyone else on here because the camera didn't cut away. During tony's entire ascent the action is not that great, its just him running peoples heads into things at bad angles. The martial arts was probably held back to accommodate that scene and that makes me a saaaaaad panda. Letsee his fight with johnny was cool then his fight with the guy with dreads is pretty cool (even though that is an unbelievably bad cliché, they even had the lion roar when the guy snarled) more bad acting to sit thought then your brought to the scene that pretty much sums up the movie. he sees his dead elephant and starts freaking out. his acting wasn't that bad but the scene is almost ridiculously long. this lasts until he gets stabbed and FINALLY some nonstop hard core action he uses some steller moves and beats the living Christ out of like 30 guys, the only problem i have with that scene is that every guy attacks him one on one; but hey u cant have everything.

after he does that he goes to face the three big guys and kicks their @$$ that was also cool to see how a big guys weight could be used against him. the only problem i have with this scene is THEY THROUGH THE BABY ELEPHANT THROUGH AN EFFIN WINDOW, I Don't CARE WHO U ARE THATS JUST DUMB. the end scene where he kick they guy out of the helicopter was cool and tony getting saved from a 3-5 story drop by the elephants tusks was a little silly but its a cool concept so ill let that slide.

Like i said above tony jaa saved this movie and it looks like the budget was severely cut for this film as opposed to ong bak. what does every one else think?
