The Protector (2005)
7/10
Yet another excellent Tony Jaa movie
11 August 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I have to tell you that without Tony Jaa and the fighters, this movie would have been so lame. It doesn't go much into details in this movie and contains many plot holes and jokes (Mark's way of talking, fake Jackie Chan...) Lots of fight scenes you've never seen before. Tony Jaa's opponents are tough as hell while the story and the other characters are unimportant and forgettable.

This movie takes place in both Thailand and Australia. I believe most indoor scenes were filmed in Thailand as almost all the bad guys are asians and assumingly Thais. The origin of the fighters are not mentioned and how he got his martial art is unclear. He event gets around Sydney conveniently without any use of English skills and map. He mostly interacts with people using his hands and feet.

If you like to enjoy the incredible fight scenes and don't care much about the story. This movie is just for you.
