That's So Raven (2003–2007)
That's So FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
17 January 2003
Type: Situation Comedy

First Telecast: September 2, 2002 (UK), January 17, 2003 (US)

Episodes: 4 aired color episodes (in US at time of writing)

First off, I just have to say this show is NOT what I expected.

"That's So Raven" is about Raven Baxter, an eccentric and offbeat teenage girl with esp. THIS is where I was thrown off. When I found out that Raven had ESP (the reason she can see into the future), I thought the show was going to be all paranormal like "So Weird" (Thank God It's Not 'cuz i HATE So Weird"!!!), since i knew about the show in advance. But when Disney US finally started airing promo's for it in October or November, I realized it's like "Taina" meets Miss Cleo. (It premired in January in the US because it's replacing "Even Stevens", Disney UK does not air even stevens) But all in all it's a very good show, and if you haven't seen it, i suggest you watch it NOW!!! I do not expect this show to be as popular as "Lizzie McGuire" (It should be though because it is WAY better), but i think it will be a hit. It's better than "Lizzie", "Even Stevens", "The Jersey", "In A Heartbeat", "Kim Possible", "The Proud Family", and especially "So Weird". The only show it's not better than is, of course, "The Famous Jett Jackson". Anyway, to break it down, Watch it, NOW!!!!

The Proud Family (2001–2005)
Hated it at first but love it now!
16 December 2002
When "The Proud Family" came out in September 2001 as a replacement for "So Weird" (Or was it a replacement for "The Famous Jett Jackson"? They both ended around the same time) anyway, when it first came out, I HATED it, but then I realized that Disney only has 2 black shows (3 in January 2003) and that's "That's So Raven", "The Proud Family", and my all-time favorite Disney show, yes, you guessed it, "The Famous Jett Jackson" anyway, I started to watch season 2, and now I am hooked on it. But unfortunately, Disney has that crappy 65 episode policy so the final episode will probably be in May 2004, but just like "The Famous Jett Jackson" I will still watch the reruns (P.S. "The Famous Jett Jackson is the best Disney show, better than this one ,"The Jersey" and epecially much better than "Even Stevens" (corny), Lizzie MCGuire (Ditzy), Kim Possible (Boring) and definitley better than "So Weird" (Just Plain GAY!!!!!))

Lizzie McGuire (2001–2004)
I don't know why i like this show
23 November 2002
Like I said in the one line summary, I don't know what it is i like about this show (and it's not just Lizzie and Miranda but they are DAMN fine!!!) anyway's this show is supposed to be about middle school but i'm in middle school and it is NOTHING like that!!! The school on "The Famous Jett Jackson" is more real than that and that show has nothing to do with school (except for a few episodes). They say words like "Cooly", "Cool-Mo-Dee", and "Dirk"--who talk's like that?! and I know it's not white girls because my school has 77% white people and NONE of them talk like that!!! And what is a dirk anyway's? This show is better than ohh lets say so weird, which isn't saying much. I give this show a **1/2 out of ****, since i don't know why i like it.

Even Stevens (2000–2003)
This show is why Disney has a 65 episode max.
23 November 2002
Even Stevens has been a favorite of mine since it first aired in June 2000 as a replacement for "Honey I Shrunk The Kids". I still watch the show. But every episode from "Snow Job" on (episode 60 ) has been TERRIBLE!!! But since Disney has a 65 episode max and they're already in episode 62, I don't have to watch anymore of these new ones, because they're stupid. Which is why Disney has a 65 episode Max. and is also why Disney's two most popular shows (The Famous Jett Jackson and So Weird) ended as well as they're two best show's (Lizzie Mcguire and this one) have ended also. That is why "That's so Raven" is coming in January in the U.S. when it already premiered in September on Disney Channel UK. It is the Mid-Season replacement for "Even Stevens" which will either end in December 2002 or January 2003.

The Famous Jett Jackson (1998–2001)
This is THE BEST SHOW DISNEY CHANNEL HAS EVER MADE...EVER!!!
23 November 2002
Personally, I think ALL Disney shows are OK. But this one is more than OK, it is Fantastic!!! Especially with these shows on Disney that are too predictable (Lizzie McGuire), too cheesy (The Jersey and Even Stevens), too stereotypical (The Proud Family) and too "Just for girls" (Lizzie McGuire, So Weird, Kim Possible, That's So Raven). This is better than ALL of them (Even that's so raven which doesn't air till January).

The show is about Jett Jackson (DUH!!!) and how he tries to manage a normal life while at the same time stars on his own hit TV show "Silverstone" (one user said "Give me a break" but he knows he would do the same thing). Season one focused on just Jett and not "Silverstone", the show within the show, but in 1999 Lee Thompson Young (the actor who play's Jett) saw "The Matrix" and talked the producers into adding "Silverstone" plots into seasons two and three.

But with or without the silverstone plots it was still great show and it showed because for all three seasons it was Disney's highest rated show that wasn't a cartoon (so yes, it did get higher ratings than "Even Stevens", "Lizzie McGuire" AND "So Weird") Too bad for Disney's 65 episode max or else this show would still be on the air.

Step by Step (1991–1998)
Just a filler between "Family Matters" and "Mr.Cooper"
8 November 2002
I used to LOVE this show. But looking back and watching re-runs of it on ABC Family, I realized that the only reason I watched this show (and Boy Meets World) was because it was just something to keep me a little entertained (LITTLE being the key word there) between "Family Matters" and "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper". The only shows worth watching in TGIF (the previous two sentences are how you can tell I'm Black). Anyway Like I said before "Family Matters" and "Mr. Cooper" were the best and "Step By Step" and "Boy Meets World" were just fillers. Now the line-up makes sense!!

8:00 Family Matters 8:30 Boy Meets World 9:00 Step By Step 9:30 Hangin With Mr.Cooper It all makes perfect sense now!!!

City Guys (1997–2001)
Saved by the bell...good version
6 October 2002
Personally, I think that "Saved by the bell" sucked. Especially "The college years" and "the new class". But "City Guys" is way better and isn't as fake. The only problem with it is it never got as much play as "saved by the bell". In fact, I couldn't even watch it until AFTER it went off the air. That Sucks!

The Cosby Show (1984–1992)
Good, but "Family Matters" is better
5 October 2002
This is just my opinion, but "The Cosby Show" is not as good as "Family Matters" Probably because I grew up with "Family Matters" and not "The Cosby show" but hey! That's just my opinion. If you wanna watch a black program thats better than "The Cosby Show" (especially those last couple of years) watch "Family Matters" But that's just my opinion

CBS' failed attempt to re-create a PBS classic
9 September 2002
CBS basically RUINED that classic show that PBS created in 1993. But this isn't new because CBS also ruined Family Matters and Step by Step. Anyway, in the old ghostwriter they were always recruiting new members. The CBS version only had 3. The PBS version they solved every case in at least 3 or 4 episodes like a movie or mini-series. Which made the show more interesting and made you wanna come back for more. The CBS version solved EVERYTHING in only one episode making the show predictable and boring. But anyway, if you wanna see the GOOD version of "ghostwriter" watch the re-runs of the PBS version on Noggin. And if you have incredibally BAD taste in TV, watch the CBS version also on Noggin.
