- TriviaWhen Media appears as David Bowie, she/he quotes several lyrics from Bowie songs: "Beating up the wrong guy" from Life on Mars, "Your circuit's dead" from A Space Oddity, "there's a terror in knowing what Mr. World is about", instead of "what THE world is about" from Under Pressure (a collaboration with Queen) and "putting out fire with gasoline" from Cat People.
- GoofsWhen Media as Marilyn Monroe floats around the interrogation room saying "I'm as colorful as the story I'm telling", she's wearing pumps. In all prior and subsequent shots she's clearly wearing sling sandals congruent with the rest of the iconic The Seven Year Itch (1955) outfit she's wearing.

Gods Live and Gods Die
There are few shows as visually striking and as conceptually breathtaking as American Gods. At more than halfway through, it's more about executing the premise they've set up than it is awing me with unique things. I think I'm starting to catch on to what we should expect from every episode, not necessarily the specific content, but the overall flow of the story. This episode started off with another stunning prologue as the narration further explains the depths of the god's powers. I think it's important to remember he says "gods live and gods die", which certainly puts perspective and more stakes than I originally thought the show would have. If everyone can come back like Laura Moon, then what's really the point of all this? Although, it seems like Laura isn't as 'together' as she probably hopes. Laura's interaction with Shadow indicated to me that she has begun to practice the ways of the gods. Doesn't her attempted seduction remind you a little bit of that of Bilquis' in the hotel room? You have to wonder how far Laura will take this. It was also interesting to see the new gods' approach to kidnapping Shadow and Wednesday. Gillian Anderson continues to be haunting as 'Media' (Marilyn Monroe/Lucy), Technical Boy is an uncomfortable hybrid of annoying and maniacal, and we got our first glimpse at Crispin Glover's Mr. World. The three make up an interesting group of misfits who only seem to pose a threat because of what Wednesday has said, I've yet to see anything that would worry me about the lives of him or Shadow. We'll see going forward, that could definitely change.
