The latest promotional material from Deadpool & Wolverine suggests that a new face may join the Ryan Reynolds threequel. The upcoming film, reportedly filled with surprising cameos, has almost confirmed that the Juggernaut actor from X-Men: The Last Stand, Vinnie Jones pulled off an Andrew Garfield.

Vinnie Jones earlier commented that he was asked to return in the Deadpool threequel which he did not accept. The actor explained that he did not have a good experience with the third X-Men film and would not return in the suit. But we have seemingly caught a glimpse of the mutant in the recently released promo.

The Marvels was released last November to so-so reviews (it has 61% on Rotten Tomatoes) and a dismal $206.1 million at the worldwide box office.
There are plenty of possible reasons why the sequel bombed, but after Captain Marvel made over $1.1 billion in 2019, its dismal performance greatly surprised the majority. While Captain Marvel 3 is likely off the table, plans for Carol Danvers supposedly haven't changed.
According to The Cosmic Circus, "Carol Danvers' role in the Multiverse Saga moving forward has not been diminished, nor will it be toned down due to The Marvels underperforming."
As for what role the hero will play, it sounds like she's devoting her time to investigating the Quantum Bangles, their origin, and whether they're capable of opening a doorway which can bring Monica Rambeau back to Earth-616. Photon was left stranded in an unnamed alternate reality with the X-Men and this very much sounds like the...

Avengers, re-assemble!
Variety has reported that Shawn Levy, reliable director of “Night at the Museum,” “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian,” and “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” is “in the mix” to helm the next “Avengers” superhero team-up for Marvel. In late July, his promised-to-be-potty-mouthed R-rated “Deadpool & Wolverine” will hit theaters and, clearly, Marvel’s leader, Kevin Feige, liked what he saw.
Marvel is in desperate need of a course correction after some wobbly entries like “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” “The Marvels,” and “Thor: Love and Thunder.” There was once a time when the Marvel opening logo was enough to print money and create cultural resonance, but those days have begun to wane, due in part to a glut of Disney+ streaming shows and the fact that “Avengers: Endgame” really did seem like a nice place to end the story. The word “end...

Deadpool & Wolverine is not in theaters for almost another two months, but the hopes and aspirations of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—and perhaps now the summer movie season box office itself—are already being placed on Ryan Reynolds’ broad, leather-clad shoulders. So it’s not like the Merc with a Mouth needed any more pressure. Yet pressure he might receive if the latest report out of Deadline is true: director Shawn Levy has entered early talks to helm the next Avengers movie.
The discussions are apparently in early stages, with the trade noting Levy has been handed the latest draft of the screenplay by Michael Waldron, but that Levy has apparently not decided if he would like to direct the film. Furthermore, Marvel Studios will continue approaching other directors while awaiting an answer about Levy’s interest. However, it would seem that Marvel has seen something they like in...

While the Marvel side of things struggles to hold on to a strong footing, Disney can go back to developing other franchises in the superhero genre. One of the films that the studio can revive as a major franchise would be the 2005 film, Sky High. It was directed by Kung Fu Panda 4 director Mike Mitchell and starred Michael Angarano and The Flash star Danielle Panabaker in the lead roles.

Mitchell revealed that Disney had plans to develop a sequel film and a spin-off series in the Sky High universe earlier. He even fleshed out concepts for a sequel and shared that he was still interested in working on the project.

When the Russo brothers were asked about the sub-par run of recent entrants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they had a categorical response – it was fatigue. For the past few years, the word superhero fatigue has been the buzz word. But the Russo brothers believe it to be something more, a fatigue with movies across the board. With the advent and multiplication of content, they believe that movies are beginning to lose their charm. But The Garfield Movie might have shown them the mirror.

Marvel has not been doing well in recent years. Their last film, “The Marvels,” was destroyed at the box office, and early test screenings of “Captain America 4” were reportedly not good. After the poor reception, rumors swirled about reshoots. Now, it seems that reshoots are coming, and they are also adding Giancarlo Esposito to the film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Esposito appears on the reshoots call sheet. We don’t know much about the character he is playing, but we do know that he’s playing a villain. We also know that the reshoots will last 22 days and include some action sequences.
The film was originally shot last spring, and here we are a year later, doing reshoots. They wrapped shooting ahead of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Reportedly, reshoots were pushed back due to the strikes, as was the release date. Originally, the film was to...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is big and expansive and has been around since Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man bounded into our screens in his flying suit. Now, after more than a decade in business, Marvel Studios seems to be in a slump, as their last few projects have not made the audiences very happy. But fans are still holding in to hope that the coming projects will fare better than the previous ones.

Reshoots Notwithstanding, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Will Be Much Cheaper Than ‘The Marvels’
We know that ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ faced many delays. The movie was supposed to come out this year, but early test screenings got very negative feedback. This led to major reshoots, delaying the release by nearly a year. It is now set to come out on February 15, 2025.
The test audiences were reportedly unhappy with the action in the movie, saying it wasn’t as good as in previous Captain America movies. The romance between Anthony Mackie and the female co-lead was uninteresting, and the political themes were boring rather than exciting and engaging.
The movie is now undergoing reshoots in Atlanta, expected to last around 22 days. Matthew Orton was hired to write the script for the reshoots, and some big names have joined the cast, including Giancarlo Esposito in an unknown villain role.
Interestingly, even with extensive reshoots, the movie won’t cost as much as ‘The Marvels...

We know that ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ was stuck in a development hell for quite some time. The movie was supposed to be released this year but after early test screenings proved to have overwhelmingly negative feedback, the flick was scheduled for a massive round of reshoots.
This delayed it for close to a year, now it’s set to be released on February 15, 2025.
The test audiences were reportedly unhappy with the action in the movie, considering it subpar when compared to previous Captain America movies. The romance between Anthony Mackie and the female co-lead was flat at best and the political themes of the film weren’t divisive and exciting but boring.

For anyone worried about the state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this latest news probably isn't going to do much to quell your fears.
The Hollywoood Reporter has news that "Captain America: Brave New World," which will mark the big screen debut of Anthony Mackie as the Sam Wilson version of the star-spangled superhero, will be undergoing 22 days of reshoots. Along with adding new action sequences to the movie, whatever scenes are being reshot will also be bringing a new cast member into the mix.
Giancarlo Esposito, best known for playing the vicious Gus Fring on "Breaking Bad" and Moff Gideon on the "Star Wars" TV series "The Mandalorian," has been cast in what the trade is calling an "undisclosed role," but apparently it will be a villainous role. Since Esposito was not part of the movie's original cast during principal photography, that means that this character is being added...

"Spider-Man: Far from Home," released in July of 2019, was the 23rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and served as a victory lap for the franchise following the release of "Avengers: Endgame" -- one of the biggest films of all time -- the previous May. That was 23 films in 11 years, released at a pretty steady -- but mostly tolerable -- clip. From 2008 to 2016, Marvel Studios released two films every year. From 2017 to 2019, it upped its output to three a year. The frantic release schedule, paired with carefully curated press releases, whipped fans into a frenzy of eternal anticipation. In 2019, it seemed like the MCU would never end.
2020 saw no MCU theatrical releases thanks to Covid. The release schedule was thrown way off and the cycle of anticipation was interrupted. To adjust, Marvel began dumping a lot of its resources into McU-connected streaming shows starting with "WandaVision" in January 2021. The many...

‘X-Men ’97’ was a breath of fresh air on Disney+. The continuation of the original animated series drew many fans back to the platform after the disappointment of ‘The Marvels.’
Combining nostalgia with excellent storytelling, the episodes kept us entertained for weeks, even though the plot moved quickly.
The hashtag ‘X-Men ’97’ trended for weeks, with social media buzzing with theories and discussions, primarily sparked by showrunner Beau DeMayo. The overwhelmingly positive reaction led to the confirmation of at least two additional seasons, with rumors suggesting the show could continue indefinitely.
However, the viewership numbers tell a different story. It seems that only die-hard fans of the original animated series and the X-Men team were drawn to this project.
When the show premiered, Variety reported that 4 million people watched it, marking the biggest premiere for original Marvel animated content. However, this statistic is somewhat misleading, given that Marvel has released...

Can you look back at the film industry without a sense of awe at its resilience and adaptability? It’s no secret that the past couple of years have served as the ultimate litmus test for Hollywood, emerging from a period that could only be described as its trial by fire. Following the pandemic, Hollywood attempted to revert to its pre-covid ways, albeit with varying degrees of financial and critical success.
In a way, 2021 and 2022 were considered ‘trial years’, when Covid remained a major issue for the business, and movie failures could be attributed to its impact on drawing audiences into physical theaters. But in 2023, things were different. Hollywood was able to assess adaptability and durability in a post-covid environment.
While it’s tricky to encapsulate the rollercoaster ride of an entire industry within a year’s frame, the vibes emanating from Tinseltown by the end of 2023 mixed heady optimism with cautious introspection.

Even though the movie isn't hitting theaters for another two months, "Deadpool & Wolverine" is already breaking box office records. According to AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron, the latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has set a new record for ticket sales in a single day for an R-rated movie for the theater chain. Given that AMC is the largest theater chain in the world, that's no small thing. It's a big enough thing to provide some hope after a slow start to the summer with the box office feeling like it's on life support. Marvel to the rescue, it seems.

One of the most highly anticipated upcoming releases in the MCU is undoubtedly ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ This movie signifies several significant milestones—it marks Deadpool’s debut in the MCU and stands as the sole MCU film slated for release in 2024. There’s a hopeful anticipation that it will help restore some of the faith lost among fans due to a string of poorly received movies in recent years.
The film is generating considerable buzz by selling tickets well in advance of its release, with The Hollywood Reporter already noting record-breaking sales several months ahead of schedule.
Since tickets went on sale on Monday, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ has shattered the R-rated record and boasts the highest pre-order sales of any movie slated for release in 2024.

The first trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine smashed global records back in February by scoring 365 million views in 24 hours, and the Merc With a Mouth's MCU debut has now broken another pre-release record.
Tickets went on sale earlier this week with a new teaser (check it out below), and the CEO of AMC Theaters, Adam Aron, has now announced that the superhero team-up movie sold more tickets on day one than any other R-rated movie in the company's history.
This is just one theater chain, of course, but AMC is the biggest in the world, with the largest share of the U.S. theater market ahead of Regal and Cinemark.
The prospect of seeing Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson joining forces with Hugh Jackman's Logan is clearly a huge draw, and while it obviously remains to be seen how the movie ultimately performs at the box office, this is a very good sign.

Since the moment it was revealed that Disney was considering acquiring 20th Century Fox, Marvel fans have been imagining the X-Men joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’re still a number of years away from Marvel’s first X-Men movie, but the project has taken a big step forward. Deadline reports that Michael Lesslie (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) is now in negotiations to serve as the writer of the X-Men movie.
When the WGA strike concluded last year, X-Men was the first project Marvel Studios began tackling, taking pitches for the movie from a variety of writers. In addition to The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Michael Lesslie is also known for Macbeth, Assassin’s Creed, The Little Drummer Girl, and the upcoming Now You See Me 3.

The X-Men are one step closer to joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe with their own movie.
Screenwriter Michael Lesslie (“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes”) is in talks with Marvel Studios to write the first “X-Men” movie since the mutant superhero franchise was acquired by Disney in its purchase of 21st Century Fox in 2019.
As with every Marvel Studios film, Kevin Feige will produce, but nothing else about the film has been set, including director or cast. Marvel has been slowly seeding the MCU with mutants over the past two years, including brief mentions in 2022’s “Ms. Marvel” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and appearances of the X-Men’s namesake and leader, Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), in an alternative universe in 2022’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” and of Beast (Kelsey Grammer) in the post-credits sequence of 2023’s “The Marvels.”

Disparage the Marvel Cinematic Universe all you want, but there's no denying that when it comes to casting, Kevin Feige and the McU's longtime casting director, Sarah Halley Finn, have the magic touch. It's all but impossible now to picture anyone other than Robert Downey Jr. lending his snarky wit to the self-declared "genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist" Tony Stark, or to imagine a different actor bringing the same spot-on mix of wholesomeness and New Yorker defiance like Chris Evans did as Steve Rogers. And let's not forget Thor and Loki, two Marvel Comics veterans who could've easily been dismissed as dorky C-listers, only to become the franchise's most long-lasting players thanks to Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.
For all of its missteps, that hasn't changed in the MCU post-"Avengers: Endgame." Esteemed character actors Oscar Isaac, Hailee Steinfeld, and Florence Pugh all brought the full brunt of their talents to...

Wanda Maximoff’s assault on the Illuminati citadel left the premiere superhero team of Earth 838 dismantled and massacred. The Illuminati was survived by Baron Mordo and the missing member of the team who was expected to be seated in the empty chair (heavily rumored to be Daniel Craig’s Baldur the Brave).

At its first upfront presentation this week, Amazon announced a green light for Noir, based on the Marvel comic, with Nicolas Cage set to star. Noir was to be the second in a suite of live-action Spider-Man Universe series for MGM+ and Prime Video. However, there was no mention at the upfront of the first, Silk: Spider Society.
That is because that series, which had been in the works for about five years and greenlighted for two, is not moving forward. I heard the final decision was made a few days ago.

Hawkeye feels like Marvel Studios' most underrated TV show in many ways. While not every subplot hit the mark (Swordsman's peculiar role in the finale felt like a last-minute change), Hailee Steinfeld and Florence Pugh stole the show as Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova, and Vincent D'Onofrio made his surprise MCU return as The Kingpin.
Oh, and we were blessed with Rogers: The Musical, of course!
There's been no word on a second season, though Jeremy Renner's life-threatening snow plow accident and last year's WGA/SAG AFTRA strikes will have done little to help matters.
Steinfeld made a surprise appearance in The Marvels where she was recruited by Ms. Marvel to what many believe will be the McU's take on the Young Avengers. However, if scooper @MyTimeToShineH is to be believed, the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star will suit up as Kate again in Hawkeye season 2.

One of the best running gags in "The Marvels" involves Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and the search for a perfect superhero name. Despite a fair amount of enthusiasm from Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), whose own alter ego was not-so-subtly inspired by her obsession with Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Monica is seemingly uninterested in that particular hero perk. By the end of "The Marvels," she's still just Monica Rambeau — despite powering up in a major way, saving the universe from an errant wormhole, and ending up in an entirely new timeline.
Monica's arc across the Marvel Cinematic Universe is pretty different from her peers, but it largely works to her benefit. In the comics, Monica is a superhero who's burned through a number of superhero nicknames. She's been called Photon, Spectrum, and even Captain Marvel throughout her tenure on the page — and her ever-changing role in the comics seems to have...

Jacob Elordi has emerged as a fan-favorite pick to play Gambit in live-action, and this new artwork from 21x4 imagines the Euphoria breakout as the X-Men's Ragin' Cajun with a dark, X-Men '97-inspired twist.
The image gives Elordi Gambit's signature bandana, trench coat and glowing eyes, but with one side of his face faded into a skull. This is a reference to the character's death in episode 5 of the Disney+ animated series, "Remember It."
Gambit hasn't fared very well in live-action so far. Taylor Kitsch made a brief appearance as Remy LeBeau in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and while he did a decent enough job with what he had to work with, it wasn't exactly a memorable debut.
Later, Channing Tatum was all set to play another take on the mutant hero in a solo Gambit movie, but the plug was pulled when Disney took over 20th Century Fox's assets.

Marvel Studios is said to be very close to announcing a writer (or writers) for the long-awaited X-Men movie, and we may know which scribes have emerged as Kevin Feige and co.'s top picks to pen the reboot.
According to Jeff Sneider on the latest episode of The Hot Mic, Rafe Judkins and Michael Lesslie are in the mix to write the script. He believes these two are the finalists to land the gig, but notes that other writers may still be in contention.
Judkins previously worked on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Tom Holland-led Uncharted movie, and more recently served as the showrunner for Amazon’s Wheel of Time adaptation. Lesslie, meanwhile, penned the screenplay for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and 2016's Assassin’s Creed movie.

"X-Men '97" has been a dream come true, delivering an even more mature, bold version of the original '90s animated series. Like its predecessor, it directly adapts comic book story arcs, with this show in particular choosing some rather bleak ones.
The season lured us in with the promise of fun nostalgia before shattering that notion with one of the darkest moments in the entire Marvel Studios history with the genocide of mutants in Genosha. This changed everything for the show and for the characters, challenging the very notion of the X-Men, what they stand for, and the legacy of Charles Xavier's work.
But it hasn't all been world-ending threats, the show still has the kind of interpersonal soapy drama fans have always loved from the original. We've got Rogue and (the late) Gambit, Cyclops and the two Jean Greys, with each character in the ensemble getting a chance to shine.

Disney and Marvel Studios had a tough year in 2023. Many of their movies didn’t do well, and the TV shows got mixed reviews. It was the first time in a while that Disney didn’t have a billion-dollar movie, and Marvel’s “The Marvels” became the lowest-grossing movie in the MCU, not even making $100 million domestically.
Recently, they found out that most of Disney’s movies were on the list of biggest box-office flops, with “The Marvels” losing a staggering $237 million. While it might not seem like much for such a big company, it prompted some big changes.
When ‘The Marvels’ came out, Iger said the studio would prioritize quality over quantity going forward. Brad Winderbaum, head of animation, mentioned they had a new plan, implying not everything in development will be made. Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito admitted to Empire magazine that “it’s been a rough time” for the Marvel Cinematic Universe following a rocky 2023 that included box office flops “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “The Marvels.” The latter title is the lowest-grossing MCU movie of all time with just $206 million worldwide. Marvel didn’t fare better on television, where series such as “Secret Invasion” were widely panned by critics.
Despite these setbacks, D’Esposito is committed to seeing the glass half full. He told the publication that “if we just stayed on top, that would have been the worst thing that could have happened to us. We took a little hit, we’re coming back strong.”

As everyone knows, the otherwise untouchable Marvel Studios had a particularly rough 2023. The disappointment of “Ant-Man: Quantumania,” the box office flop of “The Marvels,” and the critically reviled Disney+ series, “Secret Invasion,” severely put the studio on the ropes for the first time ever. But the studio is seemingly getting its house back in order. After a strong late 2023/early 2024 with the animated series, “What If…?,” the live-action series, “Echo” and the adored animated revival, “X-Men: 97,” and the promise of a reduced output, leaving fans wanting more, Marvel only has one film for 2024, “Deadpool & Wolverine,” and they seem to be totally ok with that.

There are many remarkable things about Deadpool & Wolverine. For one, it marks the MCU’s first serious foray into formerly Fox-owned mutant territory. It’s certainly the first Marvel movie ever to, um, feature gags about pegging. But even more notable than either of those things, it’s the only Marvel Studios film set to arrive in cinemas in 2024 full-stop. Post-pandemic – and in the wake of the box office-sweeping high of Avengers: Endgame – Marvel has struggled to reach audiences on a scale it used to, with recent films like Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels seriously underperforming. Factor in the overwhelming volume of Marvel stories that have been in the works across cinematic releases and streaming series, and the powers that be declared a rethink.
That included dialling down the number of Marvel projects for audiences to digest – hence, Deadpool & Wolverine is the only MCU movie to land this year.

Universal and Illumination’s smash The Super Mario Bros Movie finishes No. 1 to make it a wrap on Deadline’s Most Valuable Blockbuster tournament for 2023. While the industry is still coming out of Covid and the aftermath of the strikes, there’s no question about the major motion picture studios’ embrace of the theatrical downstream model; steamers such as Amazon and Apple realize the power of it too.
Last year’s wild ride saw the buckling of superhero movies, though Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse underscored fanboys’ hunger for something different in the genre. The year also showed that longtime box office emperor Disney can lose its clothes sometimes — in 2023 it was its overextension and hasty execution of IP Wish, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Haunted Mansion and The Marvels. Barbie and Oppenheimer, meanwhile, showed that perhaps the biggest box office weekends are best programmed with two tentpoles in the heart of summer.

We’re deep into 2024 territory as of the time of writing, but our good friends and Deadline have decided to go back to last year and reveal the biggest box office bombs of 2023. It was a short trip down memory lane, but it was done properly because all the numbers were finally in, and there was enough time to objectively interpret the facts and numbers before us. This is why we decided to report on this list.
The list contains five titles and we are going to reveal them to you, as well as all the relevant numbers. Long story short, out of the five titles on this list, four belong to Disney/MCU and one to Warner, so it seems that Disney is undoubtedly the biggest loser of 2023, especially since some of the titles in question are major ones. Now, let us start!

Disney normally finds itself at the top of the box office rankings, thanks to its ownership of well-known franchises like Marvel and Star Wars, but last year was an exception. Recently, Deadline claimed that Disney was involved in four of the top five box office bombs of 2023. The company had numerous setbacks that caused its fortunes to plummet. However, The Marvels was one of the most surprising misfires.

Yes, you read that right. As unbelievable as it may seem, Nia DaCosta’s flick endured a staggering net loss of $237 million, outdoing the Ezra Miller starrer. Speaking about the latter, it even sprinted away from the spotlight with a $155 million shortfall.

“Deadpool and Wolverine” is poised to be one of the biggest movies of the year thanks to the pairing of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who is returning to his iconic X-Men role for the first time in seven years. Jackman’s return is skyrocketing buzz around the comic book film, which is much needed for Marvel Studios after a rocky 2023 that saw movies such as “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “The Marvels” flop at the box office. It might come as a surprise, but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed to Empire that he originally warned Jackman against playing Wolverine again.
“I said, ‘Let me give you a piece of advice, Hugh. Don’t come back,’” Feige said. “‘You had the greatest ending in history with ‘Logan.’ That’s not something we should undo.’”
What ultimately got Feige on board with the idea of Jackman coming back was...

The superhero movie renaissance has had a few absolutely perfect casting choices, and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is one of them. He might be taller than his comic book counterpart, but Jackman's performance as the brawny, growly, metal-clawed mutant was crucial to the success of the original "X-Men" movie trilogy. It's no wonder that his Wolverine has had three solo spin-off movies, including the critically acclaimed final chapter, "Logan." It's equally unsurprising that Jackman has been unable to resist returning, despite saying farewell to the character, for the upcoming threequel "Deadpool & Wolverine."
"For five years, I was really honest when I said, 'I'm never playing that part again, I promise you,'" Jackman has previously insisted. In a new interview with Empire magazine, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige revealed that he once urged Jackman to stick to this conviction:

In March 2019, Marvel Studios regained the film rights to X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool after Disney acquired Fox for $71.3 billion.
These characters are set to be incorporated into the MCU. In October 2020, the ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ films were labeled as “Marvel Legacy films” on Disney+. Notably, Patrick Stewart reprised his role as an alternate Professor X in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ and Kelsey Grammer returned as Beast in ‘The Marvels.’ ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ will bring Deadpool and Wolverine, played by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, respectively, into the MCU continuity. As time passes, it becomes more evident that we are approaching the reboot. Therefore, we’ve compiled everything we know so far.
The studio is said to be seeking a mix of drama and comedy
Very little is known about the upcoming project’s plot, but the studio has recently ramped up its search for a writer.

Yes, the countdowns to “Deadpool & Wolverine” have started; they are real; there are websites dedicated to it, and as of right now, the film is 85 days away from release. The irony around it all might be Marvel’s release strategy. Following the failure of “The Marvels” (and the 2023 strikes that delayed everything), Marvel and Kevin Feige have decided not to rush things and release only one movie this year, “Deadpool & Wolverine.” However, the way the movie industry seems to be sitting around waiting for the film makes it feel like Marvel could have easily sustained more than one film in 2024.

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses plot elements from “Captain America: Brave New World,” which is scheduled to open in theaters on Feb. 14, 2025.
As the preceding warning suggests, it is customary for any story that reveals significant plot elements of an upcoming movie to include a spoiler alert. But what about a toy line?
On April 17, a Brazilian Instagram account dedicated to toy collections from fast food chains posted a video showcasing McDonald’s newest Mappy Meal toy line of mini plush characters from Marvel Studios’ “Captain America: Brave New World.” It didn’t take very long for fans online to notice one of these toys was the Red Hulk, the rage monster alter ego of Thaddeus Ross, played in “Brave New World” by Harrison Ford.
