Dominic West and Lily James made headlines back in 2020 for their Pda scandal during his marriage with aristocrat, Catherine FitzGerald. While their affair rumors caught extreme media attention, the actor makes a rare statement, claiming that the scandal helped him in portraying the now United Kingdom King, Charles III in The Crown show.
Dominic West as Prince Charles in a still from The Crown (2016 – 2023)
The historical drama show consists of six seasons, which primarily focus on the reign of the late Queen Elizabeth II. While the former plays Prince Charles III in the series, he was spotted in Rome with his The Pursuit of Love costar, sparkling attention among the media. Janelle Casaneve said she was pretty surprised when one of her castmates from a previous season of The Challenge: All Stars returned for Season 4.
The former Challenge champion recently appeared on the Zach Nichols Podcast, where she talked about her second appearance on the popular spinoff series.
According to Janelle, she was trying to steer clear of all the drama with her castmates.
That included Laurel Stucky and Nicole Zanatta, whom she said she’d never met until she got to the airport. She admitted she liked them both and wanted them to patch things up.
However, Janelle previously met Ayanna Mackins in All Stars 2, and as viewers saw, Janelle couldn’t avoid her castmate’s strategy of trying to get her out of the game.
This report will contain potential spoilers from The Challenge: All Stars 4 episodes.

Fathom Events, the premier name in specialty distribution, is partnering with New York-based Paper Canoe Company to bring the new fantasy film Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps to theaters nationwide this summer, we’ve learned this week.
Coinciding with the 40th Anniversary of The NeverEnding Story, the film marks the long-anticipated return to the big screen of that film’s iconic Childlike Empress, Tami Stronach, in her first film role since the Fantasy classic. The feature debut of veteran comedy director Michael Hines (the long-running Scottish cult comedy Still Game), Man and Witch is a labor of love from producer and star Stronach and her husband, co-star, and the film’s writer Greg Steinbruner.
A throwback to the films that captured the imagination of a generation, Man and Witch follows a lonely goatherd (Steinbruner) who, having been cursed at birth to never take a wife, makes...

Exclusive: Fathom Events has acquired the fantasy throwback film Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps, set to be released nationwide in theaters sometime this summer.
The project marks the return to the big screen for The NeverEnding Story star Tami Stronach, who played the Childlike Empress in that 1984 fantasy film. In Man and Witch she portrays the titular witch alongside her husband Greg Steinbruner, who stars as the titular man.
A passion project for the couple, Man and Witch—inspired by their own love story— was produced under their Paper Canoe Company banner, with Steinbruner also serving as screenwriter. And to make it a complete family affair, the couple’s daughter Maya also stars in a role that’s described as a “powerful being who is not of this world.”

Having escaped punishment for White Noise, Noah Baumbach will continue a Netflix deal with perhaps the highest-profile casting of his career: Adam Sandler (reuniting from Meyerowitz) and George Clooney will lead an untitled, “funny and emotional coming-of-age film about adults.” This ostensibly describes, say, every single film Noah Baumbach’s ever made; what’s more interesting is that this feature’s co-written with Emily Mortimer, whose only previous scripting credits are the TV series Doll & Em and The Pursuit of Love. Seems casting her kids in White Noise proved fruitful? [Deadline]

Exclusive: There is a little-discussed Hollywood rumor, explains Nicolas Winding Refn and his long-time collaborator Matthew Read, that Scooby Doo only came to be because Warners failed to land the rights to adapt The Famous Five.
And when you look at the two properties and their uncanny similarities, this argument does begin to hold some weight. Both have daring female characters from a bygone era, ridiculous story-of-the-week capers that always end neatly, and, of course, those lovable pooches — in the former case Scooby and in the latter, Timmy.
If the rumor is true, Winding Refn is thankful for how things played out, as he credits both generation-traversing works with influencing his career and driving his love for the screen. Now, more than 50 years on from when Warner Bros. allegedly failed to land the rights, the Denmark-born director has become the latest to take on best-selling English children’s writer Enid Blyton’s iconic novel series,...

Ahsoka's latest installment explained the truth behind Sabine Wren's force-sensitivity.
One of the biggest questions over the series' first two episodes was a simple one: Can Sabine actually use the Force?
Throughout all her time in Star Wars Rebels, Wren showed no sign of force sensitivity, even when training directly with Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger. Hyuang told her in Episode 2 that her ability with the Force is the lowest he’d ever seen in a Padawan.

Scott will perform the four leading characters: Vanya; his late sister’s husband, Serebryakov, and his new wife, Yelena; and Sonya, who is Serebryakov’s daughter from his first marriage. There are five other roles –three supporting and two smaller featured parts.
Scott told Deadline that he’s “utterly thrilled” to be returning to the theater for the first time since he did Noel Coward...

It was one of the most uncomfortable moments in recent television history. Comedian Seann Walsh and professional dancer Katya Jones are sitting opposite Zoe Ball, the host of Strictly Come Dancing’s sister show It Takes Two. Jones seems on the verge of tears; Walsh seems irritable, defensive. Neither of them wants to be there. “I’m sorry for the hurt that I caused,” says Walsh, grimacing. “I regret it deeply.” Then, later in the same interview: “I’m not the person I’m being portrayed as.”
This is 10 October 2018, four days after photos of Walsh and Jones kissing on a night out were splashed across The Sun’s front page. Walsh – who’d performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and made frequent appearances on panel shows such as Mock the Week – was one of the celebrity contestants on the hit TV dance contest. Jones was his professional dance partner. At the time,...

If 1899’s creators had been specifically instructed to make a TV series that’s impossible to watch while scrolling on your phone, they couldn’t have done a better job. This eight-episode mystery series demands full attention. Not only does its story slide between flashbacks, hallucinations, weird visual motifs and eye-widening cliffhanger twists, its huge cast of characters also all speak different languages. Viewers not fluent in German, Spanish, French, Swedish, Polish, English and more will need their reading glasses handy.
They’ll want them too, because 1899, from the makers of hit Netflix series Dark, is a terrific-looking show and an intriguing puzzle to solve. It’s the story of the Kerberos, a steamship transporting 1,400 passengers from Southampton to New York City on the cusp of the 20th century. Four months earlier, another of the company’s ships went missing, so when the Kerberos receives a set of mysterious coordinates,...

You can tell if somebody’s watched German Netflix series Dark by the furrow in their brow and the delirium in their eyes. The 2017 – 2020 time-travel mystery required a flip-chart of graphs and diagrams to explain, but proved a cult hit for Netflix and led to its creators Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar signing a deal with the streamer. 1899 (read our spoiler-free review here) is the result.
“Knowing that we did Dark, everyone can be assured that [1899] is going to be something weird and wild and crazy,” Friese promised Deadline about her and Odar’s new Netflix series. The writer-directors vowed not to repeat themselves with the new eight-episode period drama, but still to give their audience a fun puzzle that returns to the pair’s mystery roots.

Since The Crown launched on Netflix in 2016, it’s become a monumental hit, including being the first show to win all seven major drama category awards during the 2021 Emmys. And now it’s back for its fifth, and penultimate, series.
There’s a particular buzz around this latest season of this fictional dramatisation of the life of Queen Elizabeth II: not only is there a major cast change for the second time, it will also be the first time a new series airs since the deaths of Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip.
Season five will cover the 1990s, arguably one of the royal family’s most difficult decades. They endured a major fire at Windsor Castle, the messy public breakdown of Charles and Diana’s marriage, and the leadup to the tragedy of Diana’s death in a car crash in Paris.

Queen Elizabeth I's teenage years will no longer be charted at Starz.
Deadline has revealed the premium cabler has canceled the Alicia von Rittberg series after just one season.
The series launched in the U.S. and Starz territories around the globe in June.
Reviews were decent, but Starz hadn't been forthcoming about viewership statistics, which could signal that the interest was not high enough to sustain the series.
Here's the logline:
Long before she ascended the throne, young Elizabeth Tudor, played by Alicia von Rittberg, was an orphaned teenager who became embroiled in the political and sexual politics of the English court.
The death of King Henry VIII sees his nine-year-old son Edward, played by Oliver Zetterström, take the throne and sets into motion a dangerous scramble for power when Elizabeth, Edward and their sister Mary, played by Romola Garai find themselves pawns in a game between the great...

The Crown will reportedly portray the infamous “tampongate” scandal between Charles and Camilla in the next season.
The scandal refers to a private phone call between Charles and Camilla which was leaked to the press in 1993, in which the couple discuss their intimate relationship.
The now-King Charles and Queen Consort, who were respectively married to Princess Diana and Andrew Parker Bowles at the time of the call in 1989, will be shown as “truly in love” in the upcoming season.
The hit Netflix show has depicted the moment “sympathetically as two young people in love,” and addresses the intrusion into the royals’ personal lives, according to The Telegraph.
But, the depiction of the call has been described as “crass” and “in bad taste” by sources close to the royals, the publication reports.
The Independent has contacted Netflix for comment.

It’s kind of weird that there hasn’t been more rock music in “Star Wars” up until now. It’s story of rebellion in a galaxy that, while long ago and far away, presumably has some analog synthesizers and drum kits to go with its giant starships and faster-than-light space travel. For so many “Star Wars” episodes on film and TV, however, the series’ mode of storytelling and the music that goes with it has been rousing adventures and orchestral epics. Much like The Force, John Williams will be with us always.
But the narrative ambitions of the latest “Star Wars” story, “Andor,” are more of a b-side. The prequel series for Diego Luna’s “Rogue One” character is still a space adventure story of an unlikely hero called to oppose the evil Empire — but the show is, thrillingly, much messier in the execution, and its hero is much less starry-eyed.

If you’ve seen the British satire “Toast of London,” chances are that voiceover engineer Clem Fandango’s name still rings in your ears. Now Shazad Latif, the man behind Fandango, Ash Tyler on “Star Trek: Discovery” and Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde on “Penny Dreadful,” has nabbed his first romantic lead in “What’s Love Got to Do With It?”
The Shekhar Kapur-helmed acquisition title, which has a Gala world premiere Sept. 10 in Toronto, “has slightly more depth than a normal rom-com because it tackles arranged marriage,” Latif said. Lily James plays his character’s childhood friend, and complications ensue when she decides to make a documentary about the nuptials.

BBC Three is to adapt Holly Jackson’s New York Times bestselling teen crime thriller A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder from Amazon Prime Video’s The Pursuit of Love producer Moonage Pictures.

Dragons will come and go, it seems, but the main themes of Westeros stay the same. The opening of “House of the Dragon” embraces its televisionary sire’s thundering drums, armies of strings, and melodic refrains that loop like the turning of the Earth. In fact, there’s a fair bit of music throughout HBO’s follow-up to “Game of Thrones” that remains exactly the same. But that is in no small part because Ramin Djawadi’s score works almost like a narrator for the events surrounding the battles, old and new, for the Iron Throne. Whenever the main title theme hits — whether it’s the full-throated version in opening credits or an echo of part of the refrain, nested subtly inside a character’s theme as they make a play for power — it invites us to admire and dread what’s happening in a way no virtuoso camera move...

Milly Alcock stars as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in Episode 2 of House of the Dragon Season 1. Pic credit: HBO/Ollie Upton
Episode 2 of House of the Dragon saw cracks appearing in House Targaryen as those who want to see a man on the Iron Throne continued to play the long game.
Already, Princess Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock) is trying to show her authority by giving suggestions during council meetings but she is being put back in her place.
This didn’t stop her, though, and she managed to avert a situation between Prince Daemon (Matt Smith) and Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans).
As King Viserys (Paddy Considine) pointed out after the event, Rhaenyra should have stayed where she was because she is the only heir, showing that the character still has plenty to learn about ruling.
But will she even get there?
As we know from Game of Thrones, this is a game...

The first (and hopefully not last) season of “Everything I Know About Love” runs for seven episodes. It’s an odd length for a TV season, but this is a show where that lack of a round number makes perfect sense. It’s such an effective form of TV-as-memoir that every episode feels like it could be its last. A snapshot in time of four friends living in London in the summer of 2012, the Peacock original captures the feeling of a group of people who recognize their whole lives are ahead of them, made from chapters that could start or end at any minute. Packed with mid-20s energy and angst, occasional flippancy and real heart, “Everything I Know About Love” justifies giving a date barely a decade past a full and thoughtful revisit.

It's a huge turning point for the series and one that will leave fans with many questions ahead of a potential second season.
TV Fanatic scored an exclusive first-look at the episode, and it looks like Mary is on a mission to outmaneuver pretty much everyone.
Mary has been a compelling character, complete with many layers, but she's had a want the entire series to do what's right.

The first look image from My Mother’s Wedding, the directorial debut from Kristin Scott Thomas, has been released. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, and Emily Beecham.
Principle photography on the film — which Scott Thomas co-wrote with John Micklethwait — has been completed. The film follows the story of three sisters who return to their childhood home for the third wedding of their twice-widowed mother, Diana. The three daughters now lead very different lives: Georgina, a palliative nurse; Victoria, a Hollywood star; and Katherine, a captain in the Royal Navy. Over the weekend, the family gathers to celebrate a new marriage, but mother and daughters alike are forced to revisit the past and confront the future, with help from a colorful group of unexpected wedding guests.
The cast includes Academy award nominee Scarlett Johansson, BAFTA award nominee Sienna Miller, and Cannes Best Actress winner Emily Beecham, who play the sisters. Academy award nominee and BAFTA award-winner Scott Thomas plays Diana Frost, their mother.
This marks the third time Scott Thomas and Johansson have played mother and daughter since 1998’s The Horse Whisperer.
“I have wanted to direct for a long time and it was thrilling to create this fictional family using my own childhood memories as a springboard,” said Kristin Scott Thomas. “Directing and acting with such talented actresses and reuniting with Scarlett Johansson has been exhilarating.”
The cast is filled out by BAFTA award nominee, Freida Pinto, Sindhu Vee, Joshua McGuire, Mark Stanley, Thibault de Montalembert and Samson Kayo.
Additional credits include director of photography Yves Belanger, BAFTA award-winning Production Designer Andrew McAlpine, Casting Director Lucy Bevan, Editor Gary Dollner, Costume Designer Sinead Kidao, and Academy award nominated Hair and Make-Up Designer Daniel Phillips.
CAA Media Finance, which arranged financing for the film, represents domestic rights.

BBC Studios hit record £226M (267M) profits last year and the corporation splashed the cash on drama as it emerged from the pandemic, according to the Annual Report out today. However, the report contained worrying statistics on how many Brits are using the BBC each week, coming at a time when it is under pressure from the government.
BBC Studios, the corporation’s commercial arm, had a strong year as Director General Tim Davie placed more stress on generating higher commercial returns, with turnover increasing by 30 to £1.6B (1.9B) and Ebitda rising by 56 to £226M, topping £200M for the first time.
The gains, which were put down to the strong performance of key brands such as Doctor Who and Top Gear plus new shows The Outlaws, The Pursuit Of Love and This is Going to Hurt, come as BBC Studios’ borrowing limit has been increased by the government to £750M...

Exclusive: Cutting Edge Media Music has inked a deal with Anton, which will have it invest in the company’s films All Fun and Games and Mother’s Instinct, in exchange for the corresponding rights to the films’ original scores. The deal comes following two successful collaborations with Anton Production on the Searchlight horror-thriller The Night House and the disaster pic Greenland starring Gerard Butler.
All Fun and Games hinges on the premise that there’s a strange element of cruelty embedded in kids’ games—Flashlight Tag, Hangman, Simon Says—and sometimes it’s taken too far. The horror-thriller marking the first joint production for Anton and Agbo follows a group of siblings who find themselves in a game with a demonic twist. Asa Butterfield (Sex Education), Natalia Dyer (Stranger Things), Keith David (Greenleaf), Annabeth Gish (The Fall of the House of Usher) and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (Pinocchio) star in the pic,...
