There are cult classics, and then there are cult classics. A supreme example of the latter is Solium Infernum, which looked hopelessly dated upon its original 2009 release but whose methodical style of intricate politicking still managed to draw in a very dedicated audience. It also hinges on the player achieving a cult of personality as the ruler of Hell.
This rather extensive remake from Melbourne-based developer League of Geeks loses none of the qualities that made the original so beloved. This Solium Infernum still closely resembles an elaborate board game due to its measured pace and the tactile quality of your demonic holdings, which are represented by sinister-looking cards and occult tokens. But while the remake’s aesthetics owe a clear debt to both Diablo and Civilization, the core game remains one of a kind.

My Daemon tells the story of a young boy named Kento and his daemon friend Anna, who embark on a perilous journey in order to save Kento’s mother after she’s accidentally killed trying to save them. The story is fairly simple and doesn’t present anything new to its audience, but it’s the heart at the center of it all that has us all gripped. Kento and Anna’s journey is littered with all sorts of encounters. They meet a lot of people and daemons, some good, some bad, and some in the gray area. Kaede is the rising female character in the show. Of course, right from the start, she appears to be compassionate and a person who will do anything to help Kento and Anna on their long journey. Up until the point where Kento and Anna meet Kaede, they meet people who are either...

One year after losing the Best Comedy Supporting Actress Emmy to her “Ted Lasso” castmate Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple has now earned an immediate second shot at the gold. If she triumphs this time, “Ted Lasso” will become the fifth series to produce multiple winners in the category after “Caesar’s Hour” (Nanette Fabray and Pat Carroll), “Bewitched” (Alice Pearce and Marion Lorne), “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Cheers” (Rhea Perlman and Bebe Neuwirth).
Temple has played model-turned-pr consultant Keeley Jones since “Ted Lasso” first premiered in August 2020. Her episode submission, “Midnight Train to Royston,” serves as the penultimate chapter of the Apple TV+ show’s sophomore season. In the installment, Keeley prepares for a Vanity Fair photoshoot by shopping for new outfits with Nate Shelley (Nick Mohammed). Partway through the errand, she graciously rebuffs an impulsive kiss from Nate, who harbors feelings for her despite the fact that she is dating his coworker,...

Juno Temple cast in role of young princess after parts as lesbian werewolf and 1970s prostitute
The Queen's late sister, Princess Margaret, has gone down in history as a fun-loving woman with a penchant for parties. But the royal family probably never expected to see her portrayed on screen by a young English actress who has made her name playing an American serial killer beauty queen, a 1970s prostitute, a lesbian werewolf and an abused teenager from a Texas trailer park.
The actress, Juno Temple, 23, also happens to be the daughter of renegade movie-maker Julien Temple, director of the Sex Pistols film, The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle. Her aunt, Nina Temple, was the last secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain, and she is the granddaughter of another notable British communist, Landon Temple.

In 1771, Matthew Boulton, manufacturer and steam pioneer, promised to pay Dr Darwin of Lichfield £1,000, should he be able to deliver "an Instrument called an organ that is capable of pronouncing the Lord's Prayer, the Creed, and Ten Commandments in the Vulgar Tongue". History does not record what Dr Darwin managed, and 240 years later we're still struggling with Siri, but a passion for technological advances remains undimmed.
Many such stories are collected in Humphrey Jennings's classic Pandaemonium: The Coming of the Machine As Seen By Contemporary Observers. Jennings spent a lifetime collecting the material within, and it was to this record that Frank Cottrell Boyce referred Danny Boyle and his team for the first segment of the opening ceremony of the London Olympics, inspiring the spectacle of the industrial revolution. Unfortunately, if you go...

The 21-year-old daughter of Julien Temple, starring in The Dark Knight Rises and dubbed the new "it" girl of indie at Stardance
Who is she?
A 21-year-old British actor described (if you'll pardon the industry-speak) as "white hot" by the trade paper Screen International. Christopher Nolan cast her in The Dark Knight Rises; rumour has it she'll play Catwoman's sidekick.
Her last name is a tad familiar.
Her first ever screen appearance came as an 11-year-old in a film directed by her real-life dad, Julien Temple – the Wordsworth/Coleridge bromance Pandaemonium. Her mum is a producer. They warned her she was likely to end up "unemployed and miserable". Hardly. She was dubbed indie's new "it" girl at Sundance, where she had two films premiering back-to-back. One of them came out earlier this year: Kaboom, directed by Gregg Araki – his usual stew of sex'n'emo.
Well, I suppose she was never going...

Remember this name: Juno Temple. Who is Juno Temple, you ask, and why should you remember her? Simple, really. She's a talented and striking 20-year-old Brit on the cusp of becoming a huge, huge movie star. She'll be seen in completed projects Dirty Girl (2011), Kaboom (2010) and Goodnight Moon (2010), is about to begin work on Jack & Diane, and is, according to the Hollywood Reporter, in negotiations to star as the royal highness in director Paul W.S. Anderson's 3-D adaptation of The Three Musketeers. Dirty Girl casts Temple as the title character, a high school student with a bad reputation, who heads off on a road trip with an unlikely friend. The film also features Milla Jovovich, Mary Steenburgen, William H. Macy and Tim McGraw. Kaboom, directed by the always-intriguing Gregg Araki, is a sci-fi/comedy about a bunch of college students experiencing a sexual awakening. Co-stars include Thomas Dekker, Haley Bennett,...

Actress-on-the-rise Juno Temple has signed on for Jack & Diane, which takes a classic horror premise and gives it a twist.
The film centers around werewolves, and like other entries in the genre, there will be a love story element. However, instead of portraying lycanthropy as a curse, Bradley Rust Gray’s film (which is not being billed as a horror movie) is a love story about two teenage girls, one of whom turns into a wolf-like monster as a representation of her all-consuming love and desire.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Temple replaces Ellen Page, who dropped out of the film. "Those were big shoes to fill, but when we met her, we and the director knew instantly," said Jack & Diane producer Jen Gatien about Temple. "She looks like she's from the East Village and has this angelic quality to her. We had to firm down our schedule so she'd...

Wordsworth a secret agent and Coleridge a traitor? Pandaemonium may be entertainment, says John Sutherland, but as history it's pure travesty
Pandaemonium highlights a problem familiar to teachers of English literature. You have this class. They've spent the weekend (you suspect) popping ecstasy and watching MTV. How do you make the 1802 Preface to the Lyrical Ballads, with all that high-toned stuff about "poetic diction", sexy? Pandaemonium falls back on Oscar Wilde's axiom: "Lies are more beautiful than truth." What director Julien Temple and screenwriter Frank Cottrell Boyce have created is visually striking - stunning at times. But these effects are achieved at the cost of biographical and historical truth. Does it matter? No, says the movie's producer, Michael Kustow. Yes, says Professor Dryasdust.
Temple's movie opens with a wholly imaginary gathering. It is the election of the Poet Laureate, in 1813. Bizarrely, the Lord Chamberlain has decided to announce the...
