Flor Silvestre, one of Mexico's greatest recording artists, was also a major star of classic Mexican movies from the 1950s and 1960s. She was born Guillermina Jiménez Chabolla in 1930 in Salamanca, a city in the State of Guanajuato. She inherited her talent from her parents, Jesús Jiménez Cervantes and María de Jesús Chabolla Peña, who were fond of singing mariachi music. Her mother wanted to live in Mexico City, so her father sold everything they owned in Salamanca and moved the family to the nation's capital. She made her debut at the age of 13 singing at the Teatro del Pueblo, a venue located in central Mexico City. Her first radio performances were broadcast by XEFO, Mexico's national radio station. Journalist and announcer Arturo Blancas suggested she change her stage name from La Soldadera (the title of one of her first songs and a play she was in) to Flor Silvestre (the title of a 1943 Dolores Del Río movie). She then won a singing contest sponsored by XEW, Mexico's most famous radio station, and sang in revues at Teatro Colonial. While performing at the Colonial, a showman offered her a contract to tour with his company. The company toured northern Mexico and later Central and South America. In 1950, she returned to Mexico City, where the showman gave her a contract to perform at Mexico's finest nightclub, El Patio. In short time, after producer Gregorio Walerstein invited her to become an actress, she made her film debut in Primero soy mexicano (1950), co-starring Joaquín Pardavé (who also wrote and directed the film) and Luis Aguilar. She also signed her first recording contract with Columbia Records. Her first hits include "Imposible olvidarte", "Pobre corazón", "Que Dios te perdone", and "Guadalajara". Following the success of the aforementioned film, she became one of the new, promising starlets of the '50s cinema of Mexico. Her most notable films from the 1950s are Raquel's Shoeshiner (1957), with Cantinflas; Pueblo en armas (1959), with Armando Silvestre; and The Soldiers of Pancho Villa (1959), with María Félix. In 1959, she married her recurring co-star Antonio Aguilar. Her most prominent performance is, arguably, featured in Ismael Rodríguez's The Important Man (1961), which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In the 1960s and 1970s, she became a cinematic symbol of the Mexican Revolution, due to her portrayals of soldaderas in films such as ¡Viva la soldadera! (1960), Lauro Puñales (1969), and Benjamín Argumedo el rebelde (1979). Her last film appearance was in Triste recuerdo (1991). Overall, Flor Silvestre is known in Mexico, as well as in other countries, as an extraordinary singer and a prolific film actress.- Actor

He was one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the 20th Century award. His presence and leadership on the field had a great effect on his team's general performance, while he would often be singled out by the opposition.
He played for Argentinos Juniors, Boca Juniors, FC Barcelona, S.S.C. Napoli, Sevilla F.C. and Newell's Old Boys during his club career, and is most famous for his time at Napoli and Barcelona where he won numerous accolades.
In his international career with Argentina National Football Team, he earned 91 caps and scored 34 goals. In the 1986 FIFA World Cup Mexico (1986) quarterfinal, he scored both goals in a 2-1 victory over England National Football Team that entered football history for two different reasons. The first goal was an unpenalized handling foul known as the 'Hand of God', while the second goal followed a 60 m (66 yd) dribble past five England players, voted 'Goal of the Century' by FIFA.com voters in 2002.
Maradona became coach of Argentina National Football Team in November 2008. He was in charge of the team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa (2010) in South Africa before leaving at the end of the tournament.- Actor

Bail made his directorial debut with the funky blaxploitation item Black Samson (1974). He subsequently directed the outrageous sequel Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold (1975), the immensely enjoyable cross-country road race romp The Gumball Rally (1976), the nifty sci-fi/action outing Choke Canyon (1986) and the lackluster urban vigilante opus Street Corner Justice (1996). Tom Hefner was born January 18, 1946 in Long Beach, California. One could say that Tom puts the "Tom" in tomfoolery. Besides being easy-going and a practical joker, he always had a love for the arts. He began drawing at a young age. His childhood art classes taught him various artistic styles and the use of different mediums, such as pen and ink; painting in oils and acrylics.
After high school graduation, Tom joined the Navy in 1963. When it was time to re-enlist, he decided not to and instead applied his mechanical skills by working at a phone company and later the Douglas aircraft company. During this time, he met his wife Leah, and started a family with the addition of his twin sons, Dan Hefner and David Lee Hefner.
Always the artist, and yearning for a more creative job, he then worked for a Southern California grocery store chain where he ran their advertising department. Tired of the big city life, he moved his family up to the Seattle, Washington area. Tom then worked for the Peninsula School District for thirty years. During that time, he became a well-known local artist who specialized in marine paintings and landscapes of the quaint, picturesque fishing village, Gig Harbor.
His involvement with the school district has left a legacy within the Gig Harbor community. First, and most notably, for the several large interior and exterior murals on the walls of Harbor Heights Elementary School and other various buildings that he painted. These "Edutainment" murals range from the planetary solar system to dinosaurs. And secondly, as he created and designed Harbor Heights Elementary School's mascot, the Orca Whale.
Since retiring, Tom keeps busy with his painting, working on his son's movies, and dabbling in some acting.- Darcy Evans was born on 16 November 1970 in Kimberley, British Columbia, Canada.
