Fans await the cast reveal for Dancing with the Stars Season 33, as each season brings various stars from acting, singing, social media, and sports.
Many sports stars have captured the coveted Mirrorball Trophy, now named the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, in the late DWTS judge’s honor.
Rumors suggested the show’s producers wanted to score big by bringing basketball superstar Caitlin Clark in for the upcoming season.
Clark captured much attention throughout the college basketball season, and DWTS desperately wanted her as part of the cast.
However, an insider says despite them “bending over backwards” to get Clark on the show, she “respectfully declined.”
That was due to Clark having other things to focus on, including her basketball career, and she has her eye on a few shows on which she’d prefer to appear.

“Dancing with the Stars” premiered in 2005 with a focus on teaching celebrities some fancy footwork. But along the way the professional dancers who teach and partner with those celebrity amateurs became stars in their own right. Many of them returned to the show year after year, and over a dozen have won the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy over the course of the series. Scroll down to see every single “DWTS” pro champion, listed by their number of victories.
It’s fitting that the “DWTS” pros have become fan-favorites because they’re not just dancers. Heading into Dancing With the Stars’ season finale, Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy were the clear favorites among TVLine readers — not only for who would win Season 32, but who should win Season 32.
Xochitl was among a record five finalists competing on Tuesday’s season ender, alongside Ariana Madix, Jason Mraz, Alyson Hannigan and Charity Lawson. But before the Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy could go to any of those hopefuls, Dancing had a three-hour (!) broadcast in store for us, packed with two closing routines from each couple, plus a whooole lotta filler. Did we need 30 full minutes to recap all of this season’s best performances?...

Sometimes if you don’t know a puzzle on Wheel of Fortune, it doesn’t matter how much of it is filled in – you just won’t get it. Such was the case for Rashad Jennings, on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune alongside fellow NFL veterans Marcellus Wiley and Jared Allen in the October 18 episode. Jennings had seemingly never heard of movie director Quentin Tarantino and lived to regret it that he couldn’t solve what seemed to be an easy puzzle. “Tonight’s superstars made big plays in the NFL but can they tackle our puzzleboard?” host Pat Sajak asked at the beginning of the episode. The first challenge came in the first round, with the category “Rhyme Time.” Allen was the first to spin and filled in quite a bit of the puzzle before his incorrect guess of S; he had $12,950 at the time. Then it was Jennings’ turn,...

There was a funny moment on “Dancing with the Stars” on “Michael Buble Night” when guest judge Buble told “Bachelorette” star Gabby Windey that she was so good he wondered if she had previous dance experience. She sheepishly confirmed that she worked as a professional cheerleader in the past. It’s no secret that some of the “amateur” dancers who come onto “DWTS” are less amateur than others, and for no one is that the case more than Charli D’Amelio., who was a competitive dancer for over 10 years. Could that backfire against the TikTok star?

Three wins is a very tough barrier for “Dancing with the Stars” pros to cross — well, unless you’re name is Derek Hough. The new judge is the only pro to have crossed that threshold, having nabbed a record six victories. Six other pros have triumphed twice, three of whom — Cheryl Burke, Val Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd — have yet another chance to add a third this season. Who would you like to see lift their third Mirrorball trophy?
Now in her 23rd season, Burke came in to “Dancing” hot: She joined in Season 2 and won that with Drew Lachey and then backed it up with a second straight victory in the third season with Emmitt Smith. She’s since notched two second-place finishes and three third-place finishes.

On September 2 “Dancing with the Stars” announced the celebrities who will compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy in season 29. And now you can predict who will win the competition series. You can place your bets here in our predictions center now and every week until a champion is crowned this fall. You can also bet on who will be eliminated, who will get the highest scores and who will get the lowest scores.
It’s tricky to forecast the winner this early. After all, the competition hasn’t even started yet. But we can get some hints about the potential of some celebs based on the history of “DWTS.” For instance, football players often make the finals, and four of them have won, so this year’s NFL alum, Super Bowl champion Vernon Davis, must immediately be considered a force to be reckoned with.

“Dancing with the Stars” announced its season 29 celebrities on September 2. So who are the contestants vying for the Mirror Ball Trophy when the season premieres on September 14? Scroll down to see the complete list.
You’ve always got to watch out for athletes, who have a long tradition of winning “DWTS.” Super Bowl champion Vernon Davis is hoping to become the fifth NFL star to take home the grand prize, following Emmitt Smith, Hines Ward, Donald Driver and Rashad Jennings. But coming from such a strong tradition of gridiron dancers can be a double-edged sword because it raises expectations from the very beginning.
Also with high expectations will be Johnny Weir, a figure skater who won three US Nationals titles, medaled once at the World Championships and competed at the Olympics twice. He would be the fourth figure skater to prevail on “DWTS,” following Kristi Yamaguchi, Meryl Davis and Adam Rippon.

Exclusive: Former NFL running back and Dancing With The Stars winner Rashad Jennings has entered into a development partnership with former Nickelodeon exec Keith Dawkins, founder and CEO of Rock Hill Media Ventures.
The new alignment is aimed at growing the media footprint of Jennings’ four-part children’s book series, The Coin Slot Chronicles, including via TV, digital, film, and consumer products.
The series of books tells the story of Arcade and his sister, Zoe, who are always on the hunt for answers to life’s toughest questions. When Arcade inserts the token into the slot, doors of opportunity open.
Dawkins, previously EVP and head of TeenNick and Nicktoons at Nickelodeon, said: “Rashad is a friend and dynamic individual, evidenced by his diverse and illustrious career. The prospect of a strategic collaboration was the natural next step in our relationship.
“The marketplace is clamoring for diverse stories from diverse creators with great commercial appeal.

Looking back on the winners from previous seasons, it pays to be a pro athlete, and it’s easy to understand why. It’s grueling for celebrities to learn new physical skills every week as they train new dances, so celebs who already have athletic backgrounds tend to have the fitness, stamina, and training regimen to keep up with the frenetic pace.

The claws are coming out this afternoon as Hallmark Channel’s seventh annual Kitten Bowl aims to separate the baby cats from… the other baby cats.
Nearly four dozen furballs — the bulk of whom have recently been adopted — are purr-ticipating in this year’s big game, which divides the cat-letes into four ferocious teams: the Courageous Cougars, the Last Hope Lions, the Little Longtails and the North Shore Bengals. Kick-off (paw-off?) begins promptly at 2/1c. A repeat of the two-hour event is scheduled to re-air at 5 pm.

“Girl on Fire” indeed. Hannah Brown’s “Dancing with the Stars” victory on Monday ended a four-season streak of male champs and equalized the number of male and female winners.
Now “Dancing” has an even 14 male winners and 14 female winners through 28 seasons. As Thanos would say, “Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.” What’s interesting about its champs, though, is a bunch have come during some one-gender domination. Seasons 2 through 5 were won by men; Seasons 15 through 18 were won by women; and Season 24 through 27 were all dudes again.
Had Kel Mitchell, who finished second, prevailed, it would’ve marked the longest win streak by either gender at five straight.

After a one-week hiatus, James Van Der Beek has reclaimed the top spot in our “Dancing with the Stars” odds as not only the one to beat, but the guy to beat. The next closest man in our odds is — gulp — Sean Spicer in seventh place. If the “Dawson’s Creek” alum does take home the Mirrorball, he’d be the fifth consecutive man to win, marking the longest win streak by either gender on the show.
“Dancing” has had a pretty even split through 27 seasons with 13 female champs and 14 male champs. But there has been some same-sex domination in there, but none more than four in a row: Seasons 2 through 5 were won by men; Seasons 15 through 18 were won by women; and since Season 24, we’ve had dude champs.

Every female pro left has won “Dancing with the Stars,” but only one of the five remaining male pros have. And if any of the four Mirror-ball less guys break through this season, you want it to be Sasha Farber.
Farber garnered 47 percent of the vote in our recent poll. In his seventh season as a pro, Farber looks to be in good position to go far with Ally Brooke, who topped the leaderboard last week with a 24 for their rumba. His highest finish thus far was third in the “Athletes” installment with Tonya Harding. A win would also match him with his wife Emma Slater, who triumphed in Season 24 with Rashad Jennings. But she and James Van Der Beek might be tough to beat this season.
In second place with 36 percent is Alan Bersten, who’s just in his fourth season. But he’s posted two consecutive fourth-place finishes so far.

“Dancing with the Stars” overhauled its voting system this season, and while there’s some good things about it, there’s one aspect that Cheryl Burke doesn’t like very much.
“I don’t think it’s fair for the West Coast,” Burke told “TV Insider” of the live voting change. Viewers can now only vote during the live broadcasts on Mondays, which means half the country is voting blind without having seen the dances. Voting also closes just minutes after the final dance so the bottom two can be revealed for the judges to decide who to send home — a change that Burke does like as it potentially prevents shocking eliminations of good dancers.
The two-time champ, who performed an exhibition cha-cha with former champ Rashad Jennings on Monday after Ray Lewis‘ toe injury forced them to withdraw, thinks the ideal solution is to revive the Tuesday night results show.

Ray Lewis and Cheryl Burke withdrew from “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday after the former linebacker re-aggravated a toe injury he first suffered nine years ago in a game, but unsurprisingly, it was not an easy decision to make.
“We went back and forth on the phone a thousand times because I really wanted to push through. I just wanted to figure it out,” Lewis told “Entertainment Tonight” (watch below). “I have been dealing with the pain for few weeks and once I got the Mri, it was confirmation. ‘Ok, reality just got real.’ I called my mom and she was like, ‘This time you need to follow your heart and not your head.’ But it was just hard because I finish things.”

Hey, "Dancing With The Star" fans. Tonight, September 30, 2019, another results/performance show did indeed air. All the judges: Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba were, of course, on hand to give their constructive criticisms and scores. They revealed that contestant Ray Lewis and his pro dance partner Cheryl Burke were out of the competition because Ray got injured. Apparently, he tore a lot of tendons in his foot, and the doctor said they could rupture if he kept dancing. He will also need to get surgery on his foot. So, that was a tough break for him. Tonight's performances kicked off with Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko. They danced a Tango to the song, “Pretty Woman.” Afterwards,Len told Lauren, "It was full of attack, drive and purpose, but a little bit stop-and-start at times." Bruno said, "It was a racy, full-throttle tango, and some of the lines were very good,...

Going into night one of “Dancing with the Stars” season 28, we ranked James Van Der Beek third in our odds for who would win the Mirror Ball Trophy. But now that we’ve seen the first performances from this year’s celebs, Van Der Beek looks like the one to Van Der Beat — pardon the pun. As of this writing he gets leading odds of 46/25 based on the combined predictions of “DWTS” fans who have given us their forecasts here in our predictions center.
Van Der Beek was the final contestant to perform in the season premiere episode; the show often saves the best for last, and this was no exception. Partnered with Emma Slater, who previously won the Mirror Ball in season 24 with footballer Rashad Jennings, he danced a tango (watch below) that judge Len Goodman thought was “terrific” and full of “drive” and “purpose.” Bruno Tonioli called him “charismatic” and “in control.

Football players have a storied history on “Dancing with the Stars,” and retired NFL athlete Ray Lewis hopes to continue that trend when he competes for the Mirror Ball Trophy in season 28, which begins September 16. But while fellow cast member Sean Spicer has gotten most of the attention (and most of the backlash), Lewis has a checkered past of his own to overcome. So how will he do on the dance floor and with the viewing audience? Let’s consider his pros and cons.

Last year, the Super Bowl drew 103.4 million total viewers, and while that was the lowest total for the NFL championship game/American cultural event in nine years, it also was the 10th-most-watched program in American TV history. You can expect that number to rise this year with CBS’ broadcast from Atlanta featuring two major-market teams in the Los Angeles Rams and the love-them-or-hate-them-but-always-watch-them New England Patriots, and of course the ads in between that keep the water cooler bubbling for days.
Still, it means more than 200 million Americans won’t watch the game, which means they’ll need something else to look at. Broadcasters and streamers not named CBS or CBS All Access will have you covered again this year on that front, setting up counterprogramming with puppies, cats and marathons galore.

Sorry, Baker Mayfield ... Rashad Jennings says there's No Debate who the Rookie of the Year is ... and the ex-nfl star says it's "hands down" Saquon Barkley. TMZ Sports spoke with Jennings about the tight race for Roy between guys like Mayfield, Barkley, Phillip Lindsay and Nick Chubb ... but R.J. says it ain't even close. It really could go any way ... after each rookie has posted huge numbers this season: Barkley -- 1,307 rushing yards, 721 receiving yards and 15 Td.

A majority of “Dancing with the Stars” fans wanted the perpetually cursed Keo Motsepe to win Season 27 over four-time finalist Sharna Burgess, but now that she got her Mirrorball, you don’t think Motsepe is the most overdue pro. Nope, 38 percent of you think that title now belongs to Sasha Farber.
Farber, who was eliminated in ninth place this season with Mary Lou Retton, has been on six seasons, first appearing as a pro in Season 17. One of the most easygoing pros, he posted his best finish with Tonya Harding in third place on Season 26. His best chance at a win, however, was arguably with Simone Biles in Season 24, but the pair was shockingly axed in the semifinal. His wife, Emma Slater, ended up winning that season with Rashad Jennings, and you know the show would like to have three pro couples who’ve won Mirrorballs.
Motsepe grabbed 34 percent of the vote.
