The Mysterious Benedict Society season 2 debuts Oct. 26 on Disney+, and now is the perfect time to catch up. Season 1 arrived in June 2020 but was quickly lost to adults in the shuffle of the new Marvel and Star Wars universe series.
Season 2 follows up on season 1’s unique combination of mystery and adventure with a necessary social message. Even though Disney+ is targeting the series for preteens and teens, the show’s writers have made sure that there are plenty of strong concepts, jokes, and references adults can enjoy.
“We have kids thinking of the way they’ve experienced the recent past as a relentless tide of anxiety, and how do we get to the bottom of that and how do we find ways to contend with it?” co-creator and executive -roducer Phil Hay said in an interview with Den Of Geek in June 2020 before the premiere of season 1.

Tony Hale has identified the only people who don’t love “Arrested Development”: Mr. and Mrs. Hale, his parents.
For Mother’s Day, Jimmy Kimmel had celebrity guests read real tweets from their mom. Here’s the one Hale read for the ABC late-night host: “Hey son, our new friends are Loving ‘Arrested Development. We still don’t get it.”
Happy Mother’s Day.
Kimmel asked Hale, who stopped by on Thursday to promote his new Disney+ series “The Mysterious Benedict Society,” if that was really real.
“My parents think ‘Arrested’ is dumb. To this day, they think it’s a stupid show,” Hale responded. “I’m not kidding. The only episode they thought was funny was when Martin Short was on. [My dad] was like, ‘Well he’s funny. That guy’s funny.'”

The Mysterious Benedict Society, starring Veep’s Tony Hale, is on the move – going from Hulu to Disney+.

It’s been nearly a week since we said goodbye to Jace and Clary (and they to each other), and fans are still trying to process how they feel about Shadowhunters’ open-ended conclusion.
The overall consensus seems to be that the finale felt slightly rushed, which is a fair criticism, since the show had to literally condense a season’s worth of storylines into a 2.5-hour event. But for the most part, it gave us everything we could have wanted, from an emotional “Malec” wedding to some long-overdue “Sizzy” action — all of which would have been explored in greater depth...

Freeform gave Shadowhunters a bittersweet sendoff on Monday, essentially condensing what would have been a fourth season into a single 2.5-hour event. And while we’re mostly satisfied with the conclusions reached by our favorite characters, we can’t help but consider how differently things would have played out if the TV gods had given this short-lived gem a little more time. (If you haven’t watched the finale yet, we suggest you turn back. Spoilers are coming!)

Shadowhunters took fans to hell and back (a few times) during Monday’s 2.5-hour series finale, which concluded with one last twist that was anything but mundane.
Before we get into the nitty gritty with co-showrunners Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer, here’s an extremely abbreviated recap of the night’s events: After defeating Lilith and rescuing Malec from Edom (which they destroyed in the process), the Shadowhunters returned to New York for the impromptu “Malec” wedding, where Clary was informed that she’d be stripped of her powers (and her memory) if she defied the will of the angels and created any more runes.

Monday’s midseason premiere of Shadowhunters finally put Clary face-to-face with her estranged demonic brother, and it went… well, about as smoothly as any family reunion on this show.
Though Clary was relieved to learn that she survived the explosion, she was troubled to discover that Lilith transported her and Jonathan — as well as the entire apartment — to Siberia, where they discovered (whilst choking on their own blood) that Lilith’s demonic rune has bound them to one another forever.

Some Shadowhunters fans got a lot more than they bargained for this week when they clicked into an online auction (hosted by 403 Auction) for props from the outgoing drama’s set. While many of the items up for bid were either generic or familiar — including some of Alec’s bows and several keepsakes from episodes past — others were tied to storylines that have yet to air, spoiling some of the big twists that remain in the series’ final run.

Freeform has canceled supernatural drama series “Shadowhunters.” The show will end with a special two-hour final at the close of the upcoming second half of season three.
“We are very proud of ‘Shadowhunters,’ a series that broke new ground in the genre world and became a fan favorite,” the network said in a statement. “However, along with our partners at Constantin, we reached the very difficult decision not to renew the show for a fourth season. But as big supporters and fans ourselves, Freeform insisted on and championed the filming of a special two-part finale that would give devoted fans a proper ending. The twelve episodes will air in spring of 2019. We want to thank our talented creators, producers, cast and crew along with our colleagues at Constantin for their hard work and dedication and to Cassie Clare for her incredible book series. We look forward to the final chapter of this breakthrough drama.

Freeform’s fantasy drama series Shadowhuners will be ending after its current third season. While the cable network has opted not to pick up a fourth season, it will give fans closure, ordering two extra episodes that will wrap the story. The expanded 12-episode final season, dubbed Shadowhunters: The Final Hunt, is set to air in spring 2019.
Freeform originally ordered a 10-episode third season, later ordering 10 back episodes. Season 3A wrapped its run May 15. Magnus Bane literally went to hell and back in last week’s Shadowhunters finale — but the torture has only just begun.
“It’s heartbreaking,” executive producer Todd Slavkin tells TVLine of Magnus’ journey following his decision to sacrifice his powers to save Jace. “But it’s also beautiful, because he learns a lot. He learns how to live in the moment, something he never had to do when he had powers. Season 3B is such a rollercoaster ride for Magnus Bane. We loved his arc in 3A, but for Harry Shum, Jr. as an actor, it’s a hell of a journey.
