Ultra bad shitty
9 November 2006
I don t believe much of the reviews seen here, i think that they are written by the crew of the movie. In Sitges, 2 years ago, all the crew was in the cinema during the movie: they were the only ones to applaud, to clap their hands and to "like" the movie. I've seen thousands of movies, and this one was the one that disappointed me the most and bored me the most on a cinema. It s boring, no implication at all from the viewers and ultra long, so you want it to end but it never happens. You spend all the movie time expecting for some climax but that never happens. As a friend, a lover of cinema, a huge fan of fantastic and horror movies, don t waste no minute in this garbage.

A bit disappointed although its good things
16 October 2005
I saw this film at Sitges Cinema festival and, nearly everybody was delighted, but me. I was really disappointed because i saw one year before old boy and i could not help to think about it as i was seeing this new film. Lady has sometimes an incomprehensible narration and, i think, that its black humor is not very funny. I found that it was less violent than old boy but its violence and woman s revenge is a bit insane. Nevertheless, the pictures and way of filming keeps on being superb. The plot is , also, slow, and i think that it is hard for the spectator to put himself in the place of the main character. It's interesting however to see how Chan Wook takes similar places in the two films, for example schools and the prisons. Also, the drawing of Wook of the main character shows a woman who needs a redemption, searched in revenge. I would recommend this film, but not to be compared with Old Boy because if it is the case, i think that that could cause a bit of disappointment. I give it a 7 .

not so nice

Too much publicity, i heard and read it was a bit transgressive and, nope, for me it was more a film thought to annoy Disney than to really please the people paying for seeing it. Some things were funny, sure, but i was expecting that the script was more worked, but it was only a simple hope. A bit disappointing

the best 90's horror film
17 August 2001
It's gonna be short. Only to say that i've seen this movie at least 10 times and i'm never tired of doing it. A magnificent mind game of what's real and what is not. A magnificent movie, really. One special mention on the fact that the F/x are not computerized ones, that makes the work as an "artisan" film. Sorry for my awful english
