Paradise Highway (2022)
Surprised
A lot of the negative reviews on here need to open their eyes. Human trafficking is a bonified true problem in our world today. For those of you thinking she should have just never taken the girl to begin with think about what happens to that girl if you just ignore her and leave her there. She continues to be abused mentally and sexually. Also for those that feel should have just called the police, Morgan Freeman says it best in the movie. The girl is just returned to the criminals with zero evidence of wrong doing. Or the girl gets put back in a system that has already done her wrong multiple times in her young life. I really like the movie. Good storyline, true content and a very good ending. Unfortunately in real life these unfortunate girls don't get this kind of ending but I love that the movie makes people aware of the issues with human trafficking. People giving it low reviews must be child traffickers!!
Papillon (2017)
Don't pay attention to the negative reviews
The acting is superb and the storyline is consistently gripping from start to finish. Truly an enjoyable and intense film that must be watched! I fail to understand why IMDB and RT have given this such a negative score, at the same time the user reviews are probably an older generation and comparing it to the original. Remi Malek was very effective, particularly at the end, as his slow descent into madness is captured. The sheer brutality of what these prisoners went through and watching Pap escape at the ending jumping off the cliff and writing about it when he was innocent. Cool kids watch this awesome movie.
Shantaram (2022)
NOT WHAT I EXPECTED BUT
Boss!! Dug this show, the production value was intense. Hard to believe with all the brilliant user and critic reviews that Apple TV chose not to renew it. Like really? Makes you wonder about the people in programming and what planet they are on. I'm truly gutted that we will only have one season. Charlie Hunnam really delivers an awesome performance BUT bro you really need to work on your AUSSIE accent. Horrific ending seeing him hanging been beaten up again #RENEW SHANTARAM. Well casted and the support cast delivered a brilliant performance kept u guessing all the way.
Watch it truly !!!!!!
Drift (2013)
This Film Is A Future Cult Classic
A must watch brilliant cinematography well shot and directed, never mind the negative reviews just enjoy the ride, AU do me proud. Drift is a 2013 Australian film about the birth of the surf industry in the 1970s. It was shot in WA and co-directed by Morgan O'Neill and Ben Nott and starring Sam Worthington, Xavier Samuel and Myles Pollard. Based on true stories from the era and a novel adaptation, Drift is the action filled story of a outsiders who eventually forge a successful future in surfing equipment and competition...stumbling upon the worldwide multibillion-dollar cultural movement we know now.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Should be longer
The Many Saints of Newark is the first piece of Sopranos content we've gotten since 2007. Luckily, Chase and Taylor deliver the goods, and I couldn't be happier. Sure, the pacing could be better, and the film would benefit from being longer, but if you're a Sopranos fan, trust me when I say: it's terrific. This film delivers on one of the great mysteries of the Sopranos. If you haven't seen the show, you will still enjoy the movie if it's your cup of tea. You'll just have a ton of things from the show spoiled from the minute the opening credits roll. It's a great story that's a partial piece to a bigger one, and it definitely had the makings of a varsity athlete.
8 lexeis (2019)
Brilliant
Well scripted and the cinematography is well shot, the kind of show you cant help but binge on.
Radiohead: Street Spirit (Fade Out) (1996)
Violently British
Executed brilliantly The mixing of speed effects create simple but meaningful distortion. There is something disturbing and fascinating about it at the same time. This video is from 1996 but it doesn't look "old" to me as many other videos from that period do, and I think that's because the use of the effects does not come from only a technical and stylistic choice, but it is a pure artistic expression itself.
Thom Yorke says "Street Spirit is our purest song, but I didn't write it. It wrote itself." This is an amazing challenge for a director but Jonathan Glazer did it spectacularly well. From the beautifully saturated black and white to the dreamy and surrealist mood or the simplicity of the elements he decided to portray - every choice he made was the right one.
