Harley Quinn: Acid.
Batman: It's acid.
The Riddler: I am not done! What is... wait... did I say the thing about cold but still burns?
Batman: Yes.
Harley Quinn: Right.
The Riddler: No!
Harley Quinn: Because it's acid.
The Riddler: Okay, it's acid. I'm dropping you in a pool of acid.

The Harlequin smashes it out of the park!
Wow! I'm incredibly impressed with this opening episode. I haven't seen the character of Harley Quinn done justice in anything but the comic books. Until now! This could potentially be the perfect vehicle for Harley & her adventures.
This episode does a great job of telling Harley's story and exploring her complex relationship with the Joker, without sacrificing the laughs or levity. We get a necessary amount of background information on the character without getting bogged down in exposition. It all feels incredibly seamless!
The voice acting is superb. The voice actors all seem like they're really having fun with their roles. I particularly love the portrayal of Poison Ivy as an aloof misanthrope with a roll-her-eyes-at-everything attitude. The Riddler is adorable too.
The show is way more violent and crass than I was expecting - a total plus for me. The animation is gorgeous and the fight scenes are exhilarating. Just beautiful to look at.
This opener sets the bar extremely high for the series. I can't wait to see HQ attempt to forge her own path in Gotham sans Joker.
