After the last episode, and the few prior I really feared for the show, it felt a bit like a spent force, but Drawing Dead totally has reinforced my adoration for the show. This episode truly had a classic feel to it, I loved the horror vibe throughout, the mask was very 'Scream,' I loved the cohesion of plot, and the wonderful mix of character, delivered by a superb cast, led by the wonderful Gemma Redgrave. The comic con setting was fun, and of course allowed some zany characters and wacky costumes.
Fleur had me in stitches, Annette Badland has been revelation in the show, easily ranking at the top alongside George, she was funny and charismatic, a great presence.
The story, imagery, humour, and use of classic episode music made this one an out and out winner. This was truly the best episode for years. More like this please. 9/10
