It’s been more than twenty years, and Activision’s popular franchise, Call of Duty, has dropped players into numerous maps, warzones, and spaceships, creating intricate campaigns and fun multiplayer experiences that are now iconic in the genre. There’s no doubt that Call of Duty is one of the most popular video gaming franchises, and now the only thing remaining is its Hollywood debut.
It may be surprising, but Activsion Blizzard was planning a Call of Duty movie. The company was working on a live-action Call of Duty cinematic franchise, which was supposed to feature Henry Cavill. Unfortunately, Activsion Blizzard’s plans never came to fruition, and in 2020, it was confirmed that the movie’s production was halted due to internal reasons.

As fans will know, Heavenly Delusion is a very peculiar manga and anime series. We have reported earlier that the anime was listed as the best anime of 2023 and it won big at the Trending Awards this year. The original manga was written by Masakazu Ishiguro and has been ongoing since 2018, with 10 volumes published as of the time of writing. The anime adaptation premiered in 2023, and while we still don’t have an official confirmation, a second season is very likely, although it might be some time before we see it, since Ishiguro has to write more chapters for the studio to be able to produce a proper season.
The anime was extremely popular and praised by both fans and critics, so there is absolutely no doubt that the series will receive a second season, although we have to wait and see when it is going to premiere.

In many cases, video games tend to follow an already-created storyline of a franchise, bringing fan-favorite characters to life. This further allows players to have insight into how the lives of these characters are played out, just like one can do in the famous Batman: Arkham video game series.

The entire gaming community, especially the Helldivers 2 players, in a very surprised move, opposed Sony making it mandatory to link the PlayStation Network to Steam. The company later backtracked, but the consequences were complicated.
Sony decided to forbid the purchase of the title in more than 170 countries. To this, the company added the recently released PC version of Ghost of Tsushima. After all this, Sony has just completely deleted the pages of both games from the Valve platform in those countries.
Sony Coming Back With Yet Another Big Attack Sony has made another move on the battle against the players of Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima.
Helldivers 2‘s entire community was against the Sony decision, with review-bombing, refunds, and any kind of complaint imaginable. This resulted in the company backing the decision, and the players celebrated the win. The owners of PlayStation swiftly overshadowed this by forbidding the acquisition of...

The Last of Us created by Craig Mazin, is one of the main HBO projects right now. Despite high ratings for the first season, it's too early to tell if The Last of Us will live up to expectations – the main action will unfold in the second season, which will be released in 2025.
Viewers unfamiliar with the source material will likely remember John Hillcoat's The Road and Alfonso Cuarón's Children of Men, two of the main sources of inspiration for the video game's creators. However, the series not only resembles post-apocalyptic road movies, but also Chernobyl, Craig Mazin's previous project.
It's easy to draw parallels between the opening scene of The Last of Us, in which a scientist explains that humanity is facing the threat of a cordyceps fungus pandemic due to possible global warming, and the miniseries, in which a problem-ignoring bureaucratic system tries to correct its own mistakes.

A couple of years ago, it was announced that Warner Bros. and producer Akiva Goldsman‘s company Weed Road are working on a sequel to the 2007 Richard Matheson adaptation I Am Legend (watch it Here), which will see Will Smith reprising the role of Dr. Robert Neville, now joined in the cast by an unspecified character played by Michael B. Jordan. We haven’t heard much about I Am Legend 2 as time has gone by – but Entertainment Tonight caught up with Smith at a screening of the new Bad Boys sequel Bad Boys: Ride or Die, and he confirmed that it’s still in the works, adding that there are “really solid ideas” for this sequel.
Smith said that he and Jordan “had a couple weeks together about a month ago. I think it’s looking good. [We have some] really solid ideas… I think we’re going to make it on screen together.

This Last of Us article contains Major spoilers. You’ve been warned.
The Last of Us was a revelation when it first hit the PlayStation 3 in 2013, and again when it was adapted to TV for HBO, with many calling it the greatest video game adaptation of all time. Even if you don’t completely agree with some of the changes the first season made to the original story—although we’d argue most of the tweaks, like the Bill story, made The Last of Us even better—there’s no denying the care and passion that was put into bringing this post-apocalyptic tale to live action, including from its stars Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal, who perfectly capture the dynamic between Ellie and Joel.
It’s no surprise at all that we’ll soon see the pair back for a second season, but their time together might be short-lived, considering...

In the last few weeks, we’ve witnessed Microsoft taking drastic measures and shutting down Hi-Rush studio Tango Gameworks, Redfall creator Arakne, and the two other studios. The tech giant believes that Xbox as a brand needs “small games” to garner its old prestige and get ahead of the competition. With the shutting down of such major studios, we thought we’d see further layoffs and reorganization of studios under Microsoft.
However, in a shocking move, Xbox and Activision have announced a new studio called Elsewhere Entertainment. While the brand-new studio features industry vets who’ve worked on successful games such as The Witcher and The Last of Us, many people in the community can’t believe Microsoft is closing well-established studios to open new ones.

The Last Of Us Season 2 is in the works. Here’s all the juicy details we know about it so far, including what to expect from the upcoming season when it premieres.
The Last Of Us Season 1 Was A Huge Hit
Post-apocalyptic shows can often be a hit or miss with audiences. Particularly in the last ten to twenty years, the genre has been done and overdone. Franchises like The Walking Dead come to mind. While it started out strong, between the original and all of the spinoffs, watchers tend to have viewing fatigue.
That was not the case with the HBO Max adaptation of The Last Of Us. Season 1 on the platform was a huge hit. Actor Nick Offerman even took home his first Emmy award for his gripping performance in Season 1, Episode 3, Long, Long Time.

Fans Express Concern Over The Last of Us Actor Amid Season 2 Time-Skip - Main Image
HBO and Max have announced that production of The Last of Us Season 2 has already started. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey will return to their roles as Joel and Ellie, respectively.
While most fans are pumped as the countdown to the show’s 2025 release has started, some can’t help but express their concerns over X and Reddit about one glaring detail:
The second part of the well-loved video game is set five years after the events of the first one, which is expected to be the same timeline for Season 2. However, some viewers have noted that Ramsey did not age a bit, both in the set photos and the official first look, thus wanting Ellie recast.
In Part II, Ellie is 19 years old, ageing noticeably as a brutal and defiant character in a post-apocalyptic world.

As the Fireflies' famous catchphrase goes: "When you're lost in the darkness, look for the light." And as our not-so-famous catchphrase goes: "When you're waiting patiently for The Last Of Us Season 2, look for the first images of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey's return as Joel and Ellie." Good news – that light has arrived, people. During an Upfront presentation yesterday, Warner Bros. Discovery gave fans their first look at Season 2 of Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin's critically acclaimed game adaptation — and we're already feeling all the feels. You can see the Joel pic above – and here's the Ellie shot:

Thanks to GameFragger.com, we have the first images of Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie from the upcoming second season of HBO's The Last of Us.
Shared by Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO, HBO and Max Content, during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation, both characters look very much in line with their respective video game counterparts, though there are already more complaints on social media about Ramsey looking too young for the role.
She is now 20, a year older than Ellie was in The Last of Us Part II. The video game version looked quite a bit older than 19 when players were placed in her shoes, and we're sure such a youthful-looking Ellie will only make what's to come in season 2 more harrowing.

Upfront week’s reliance on films isn’t actually new but it is increasingly bizarre, as evidenced by the top of Wednesday morning’s Warner Bros. Discovery presentation kicking off with sizzle that prioritized features Furiosa, Dune: Part Two and Wonka — when new episodes of the HBO and Max’s flagship Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon, are just weeks away.
But the opening frames proved to be relatively misleading, as the 90-minute (notably David Zaslav free) pitch to advertisers focused almost exclusively on … advertising. And on linear TV, at that. Last year, New Line Cinema went all-in on a partnership with Barbarian (watch it Here) writer/director Zach Cregger and the film’s producers at BoulderLight Pictures. New Line came out the winner in a bidding war over Cregger’s next film, a mysterious horror project called Weapons… which was, at one point, set to star Pedro Pascal of The Last of Us and Renate Reinsve of The Worst Person in the World. Pascal had to leave the project so he could star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe reboot of Fantastic Four instead – and even though that much larger production hasn’t started filming yet, as of right now it looks like Fantastic Four is going to beat Weapons to the screen by about six months! While that superhero movie is set to reach theatres on July 25, 2025, New Line has announced (via Deadline) that Weapons has been given a theatrical...

Of all the shows to debut last year, you could argue that HBO’s “The Last of Us” was the biggest breakout. Upfronts are in full swing, with Amazon, Disney, and now Warner Bros. Discovery showing off their most enticing shows — new and returning — for advertisers. Along with first-look photos for The Last of Us Season 2, Wbd unveiled the first teaser for Dune: Prophecy on Wednesday morning. This sweeping prequel series, due out in the fall, is inspired by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson's novel Sisterhood of Dune. Per the logline, the six-episode first season "follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit," which sounds compelling enough on its own, but now look at the teaser:...

The first look at Season 2 of “The Last of Us” was unveiled on Wednesday featuring stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. HBO and Max chief Casey Bloys debuted the images during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation in New York City.
The show chronicles the story of Joel (Pascal) and Ellie (Ramsey) as they navigate a world overrun with zombies infected with a parasitic fungus — not to mention the ruthless vigilantes, mercenaries and cannibals just as desperate to survive. Just as the first season of “The Last of Us” was adapted from the acclaimed 2013 video game of the same title, Season 2 of the series is expected to follow the events of its 2020 sequel, “The Last of Us Part II,” which deals with the fallout from Joel’s actions in the season 1 finale.

The Last Of Us Season 2 won’t debut until 2025, but HBO is already teasing what’s to come.
First look photos from the second season were released during Warner Bros. Discovery’s Upfront presentation on Wednesday, featuring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.
The photos don’t give away much in terms of the plot, though that’s to be expected as production just recently began on Season 2. So far, details remain scarce.
The photo of Pascal features Joel standing outside at night, speaking with someone whose back is to the camera. In the next photo, it appears to be daytime, though Ellie is creeping inside of a building with her weapon at the ready in case anything goes wrong.

The television industry’s annual “upfront” is usually a place where advertisers get to preview new series and specials, not blockbuster movies, so NBC raised eyebrows Monday when one of the first previews it showed to an audience at Radio City Music Hall was of the coming Universal film “Wicked.”
NBCUniversal, chief content officer Donna Langley told the crowd, was “excited to build up our story legacy across film, TV and streaming.”
Movies and premium cable series from HBO and Showtime used to be something traditional TV advertisers got their hands on only after they had made their way through theaters and pay-tv windows. Now, as a batch of this year’s upfront showcases reveal, they are increasingly being dangled before Madison Avenue as a major reason to support TV companies.

Alyla Browne may only be 14 years old, but in the short time she’s been acting she’s somehow managed to assemble one of the most ridiculously star-studded on-screen family trees.
In Hulu’s “Nine Perfect Strangers,” she played Nicole Kidman’s daughter. In Amazon Studio’s “The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart,” she was Sigourney Weaver’s granddaughter. Meanwhile, in George’s Miller’s fantasy “Three Thousand Years of Longing,” she appeared as a young Tilda Swinton.
But the fast-rising Australian is about to top all of that. In “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” she plays the Imperator Furiosa as a child, meaning she’s not just the young Anya Taylor-Joy, but the young Charlize Theron as well.
“It’s absolutely insane,” notes the teen, now juggling her studies with her first trip to Cannes for the world premiere of the one of the year’s most highly anticipated films.

Bella Ramsey did an exceptional job with their work in the first season of the live-action adaptation of The Last of Us on HBO. However, the performer was greeted with a mixed reception due to their appearance. The community is more concerned about their looks than their talent.

PlayStation has massively grown its PC portfolio after committing to the platform in 2019, and while it did stumble along the way, like with the recent Helldivers 2 Psn debacle, the company has seen a great deal of success from its double-dip launches.
Back in 2022, PlayStation Studios boss Hermen Hulst confirmed that they will release live-service games day and date on PC, which is sensible, and big singleplayer titles will be spaced out to at least two years between their PS5 and PC launches. However, a recent rumor suggests this may have changed.

Credible leaker billbil-kun has reported that the wait for a God of War Ragnarok PC port might be much shorter than anticipated. They hint at an imminent announcement for the port, potentially sometime this May.

Showtime has taken to social media this afternoon to announce that “Yellowjackets” Season 3 is officially in production, and they’ve also shared behind the scenes photos from the set.

Are we headed for a bon marché?
A new class of finished films and packages (unmade movies with big stars and a director attached) will travel to Cannes this week in search of cash and homes with the studios, streamers and global indie players.
The 2024 Cannes market comes equipped with some interesting contradictions. Stateside, the content buying machine is fraught. Major media stock prices are getting hammered day by day, and a new age of austerity has gripped the once free-spending tech giants. At the same time, distributors paralyzed by the 2023 Hollywood labor strikes need content to fill their slates for the end the year and the top of 2025.
“We’d agree that finished film volume isn’t as high due to the strikes, but Cannes is a much better setting for packages to begin with,” one top sales agent told Variety. “These movies can get financed out of the international marketplace,...

The MTV Movie & TV Awards are on pause for 2024, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Sources told THR that the show will return next year with a “reimagined” format.
The show last aired in May 2023 amid the Writers Guild of America strike. Host Drew Barrymore dropped out in a show of solidarity with the writers.
The show aired but with numerous pretaped segments and acceptance speeches, clips from upcoming movies and TV shows and previous editions of the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Additionally the show, awards categories and nominees and winners were announced via a voiceover, which initially referred to the event as the “2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards special.”
When Barrymore dropped out, it was announced that she’d agreed to host the 2024 awards. It’s unclear if she’s still attached to host the 2025 installment.

The MTV Movie & TV Awards is taking another break. Variety has confirmed that the event, which would have normally taken place around this time of year, will instead sit 2024 out — with an eye toward returning next year, perhaps in a different, “reimagined” format.
It’s been a bumpy decade for the MTV Movie & TV Awards, which first began in 1992 (as the MTV Movie Awards). Last’s year’s event was forced to pivot to a pre-taped clip show in light of the Hollywood writers’ strike, as host Drew Barrymore bowed out and the WGA announced plans to picket the ceremony.
Meanwhile, in 2020, the MTV Movie & TV Awards also didn’t take place, due in part to the Covid-19 pandemic, but also because the network had planned to move the franchise (long a spring/early summer staple) to December. Ultimately, instead of an awards show, MTV ran a “MTV Movie & TV...

Once upon a time, the post-apocalypse genre was almost exclusive to movies, with the occasional exception, such as the 1994 mini-series The Stand. Fortunately, the advent of streaming services and bigger budgets changed the paradigm.
Nowadays, radioactive landscapes, bombed-out buildings, hordes of shambling, reanimated dead bodies in various states of decomposition, and desperate, struggling survivors are commonplace on smaller screens.
Ostensibly, post-apocalypse shows are about survival in a devastated world. Dig a little deeper, however, and there's almost always a tale of morality or lack thereof. Movies struggle with this, often opting for CG effects to dazzle and attract, neglecting the human aspect.
That's what makes TV the perfect conduit for a tale of post-apocalyptic survivalism. While not all of them get it right, like 2020's The Stand, a long, drawn-out affair has the luxury of time and world-building on its side.

The console wars of this generation has seemingly rested on the winning side of Sony thus far. With Aaa exclusives like Spider-Man, The Last of Us, and even Square Enix’s 2023 venture, Final Fantasy 16. But if this month has taught us anything, it’s that the gaming industry is now turning more volatile than ever. With studio closures and even many games seeing the door, gamers aren’t even cautiously optimistic anymore.
Final Fantasy 16
Which might be the case now for Sony’s fanboys as well. When a big name like Square Enix says they’re going multi-platform, it’s bound to raise eyebrows. What may be PlayStation’s loss could just be Xbox’s, nay, the gaming community’s win.
Square Enix just parachuted out of Sony’s tower
Labelled a new strategy, Square Enix is looking to shift from quantity to quality, as is obvious from their recent Consolidated Financial Results.

It has been a while since The Last of Us: Part 2 came out, and players are surprised how a glitch in the game has still not been patched yet, causing them to die in the middle of a cut scene. As many on social media platforms pointed out, during a particular moment in the game, the character model somehow bugs out, causing Ellie to phase through the floor and fall into the void.
A still from The Last of Part 2
It has also been pointed out how the glitch seems to happen only in the permadeath mode, making players start their journey all over again as the custom mode allows the players only a single chance to finish the game if they have chosen the hardest difficulty, resetting their progress all over again if they die.
