Swing It, Charley
You know in those old movies how the singer goes to Italy to study voice, then returns to America a star of the opera? No, well, there are movies like that, and Hackett did that in real lif. He made his debut in Genoa in 1914, spent much of his career at the Metorpolitan Opera in New York and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. He died in 1942, aged 52.
Unless you're an opera fan, this won't appeal to you, but he's pretty good.
