Batman has been played by a slew of talents, but one of the most iconic versions was played by Kevin Conroy, for over two decades. However, the actor sadly passed away in 2022, leaving behind big shoes to fill when it came to his portrayal of Batman. The actor had already shaped an iconic interpretation of the Dark Knight.

The more versatile an actor is, the more in demand they are. One of the major skills that an actor needs to grab more projects is the ability to change accents at will. This becomes even more essential when you are in the animation industry, where the way you speak can severely impact the quality of the entire production.

Transformers Animated came to an end with its third season, but it wasn’t always intended to be that way! Various plans existed for a fourth season that would have continued the story of the series and taken it in a new direction.
Transformers Animated (2007)
During the brainstorming phase for the fourth season, Marty Isenberg, the story editor, envisioned a narrative that would span both Cybertron and Earth. The focal point would remain on Cybertron, the homeworld of the Transformers, but the discovery of new energon deposits on Earth, originating from shards of the AllSpark, would necessitate the Autobots’ continued defense against the energy-starved Decepticons on our planet as well.
Suggested“Young Justice should deal with these issues”: One DC Hero Became a Symbol of Mental Health after Showrunners Talked to an Iraqi Vet Suffering Ptsd
According to Isenberg, season 3 embraced a more traditional Autobot vs. Decepticon war narrative.

Young Justice, ever since it first started airing on television, was hailed for its expansive worldbuilding, and for the inclusion of diverse stories across a range of characters that pulled from every aspect of the DC Universe. Continuing that tradition, it seems that Young Justice has added yet another corner of the universe into its canon, one that belongs to a shortlived CG series, belonging to one of DC’s most powerful heroes.

American animated series Young Justice is considered one of the best superhero series ever made. Contrary to its title which suggests that it is an adaptation of Peter David, Todd Dezago, and Todd Nauck’s comic series, the TV series is an original story, set in the DC Universe. It primarily explores the adventures of teenage and young adult superheroes.

Young Justice has easily become one of the most beloved animated superhero series in recent times. The series has an excellent lineup of characters, all of which feel well-thought-out and have extremely interesting stories. It picked whatever aspects of a character’s back story they wanted, choosing from the several versions and sticking with them. If they were unable to find the correct pieces, they made changes, creating the intricate puzzle that is the series.
Young Justice
The perfect example of a significant change they made to an original story is Martian Manhunter and Mars as a planet. Going from a destroyed planet to a lively civilization on the brink of civil war, the change brought about a lot of interesting elements to the story.

Marvel’s X-Men ’97 animated superhero series is the talk of the town these days. Another animated series named Young Justice once attracted a fair amount of attention. Young Justice is an animated series that chronicles the adventures of teenage superheroes and sidekicks from DC Comics. Despite its popularity and innovative storytelling, the show was unexpectedly canceled after its first two seasons.

"Young Justice" is one of the best superhero shows ever made. Building on the path carved by the work of Bruce Timm with "Justice League," "Batman: The Animated Series," and more, this animated series draws from every corner of the DC universe, from Jack Kirby's trippy Fourth Wall to Golden Age characters and much more. The show offered episodic storytelling, with most episodes revolving around a specific mission, while also advancing an overarching story with big consequences.
Perhaps the show's biggest achievement is one that we still haven't seen properly replicated in live-action — the idea of legacy. Throughout the current four seasons of "Young Justice" (we still don't know where and if the show fits James Gunn's DC Universe), we see heroes retire and pass on their mantle to new generations who carry on their heroic legacy. "Young Justice" currently sits in limbo after its fourth season wrapped on Max. There's more story to tell, but Warner Bros. hasn't given creator Greg Weisman the greenlight to tell it. But hey, "Young Justice" has come back from worse! Cartoon Network outright canceled the show after season 2 finished airing in 2013.
"Young Justice" has the same premise as "Teen Titans" (soon to be a movie from DC Studios). The sidekicks of DC Comics form their own team. Arguably, the most famous fictional planet is Krypton -- the home of Kal-El, aka Clark Kent, aka Superman. We all know the story (though studios seem to think we don't) of how Krypton was destroyed, and how the sole (kind of) survivor was baby Kal-El. But while Krypton gets all the attention, it's not the only desolated former metropolis in the DC Universe.

The show releases the second half of its fourth and final season this October, with six brand-new episodes after a nine-month mid-season hiatus that began this past January. Adapting the DC Comics’ superhero team of the same name created by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, and Bruno Premiani, Doom Patrol has leaned into the most absurd possibilities of the genre, combined with the heartbreak that comes with being transformed into a misfit hero through horrifically weird science.
However, more than just examining the peculiarities of being a superhero, Doom Patrol has the bizarre distinction of being a program caught between shuffling streaming platforms, confusing shared universe connections, all while trying to tell its own story across four seasons. And frankly, for a team as unorthodox and weird as the Doom Patrol is,...

This article contains major spoilers for "Blue Beetle."
The DC Universe has a new superhero in Jaime Reyes, the first Latino DC superhero, and a rare superhero whose entire family is a big part of their story. Family and the idea of legacy are big elements of the film, which explores the history of Mexican resilience in the Reyes family, and the future that Jaime represents.
That legacy also involves other Blue Beetle heroes, because even though they aren't a big part of the story, they offer something unique to the film. Though the Marvel Cinematic Universe is just now starting to explore the idea of legacy and the passing of the torch, shows like "Young Justice" have made a name for themselves by diving into the importance of legacy in the DC Universe. In "Blue Beetle," we learn that there have been two other heroes to use the name,...

Actor xolo maridueña, who will now be getting his time on the big screen with the DC superhero film ‘Blue Beetle’, has said that his mother helped him prepare for the role by raising him on comic books. The actor also said that now his core philosophy is to “stay grounded with family and friends.”
Speaking to People magazine, the 22-year old said that his mother Carmelita was actually the one who helped him prepare for leading a superhero movie in more ways than she knew. “I personally was not a huge comic book reader,” he said.
“But my mother, who helped raise me and was reading me bedtime stories at night, definitely was reading comic books instead of, you know, Goodnight Moon.”
He added: “She was the type of kid who worked to buy records and comic books. So for that reason, of course, I knew who Blue Beetle...

WB Games and NetherRealm dropped a bunch of news for Mortal Kombat 1 at Comic-Con. Not only did they reveal Li Mei, Tanya, and Baraka as the latest playable characters joining the game’s main roster, but they also confirmed what we already knew in regards to the first Kombat Pack Dlc.
Voice by Kelly Hu, Li Mei returns to the series after her debut in 2002’s Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. The former member of the Umgadi (a contingent of warrior priestesses pledged to protect the Outworld royal family) now serves as a constable in Outworld’s police force and has an array of magical abilities at her disposal.
Mei is joined by Umgadi leader Tanya, who was previously seen in Mortal Kombat 11. Likewise, Baraka also returns from MK11, who now leads those Outworlders afflicted by the Tarkat plague. Meanwhile, Mortal Kombat: Deception‘s Darrius returns as a Kameo Fighter.

In an unexpected turn in the streaming sector, Warner Bros. Discovery is reportedly discussing the possibility of licensing some of its original HBO content to competitor Netflix. The strategy diverges from the industry’s recent streaming strategy of hoarding content for their own direct-to-consumer services.
It’s not the first time HBO has explored syndication, with “Curb Your Enthusiasm” airing on TV Guide Network and “Entourage” on Spike. And from 2014 to 2018, HBO licensed shows to Amazon’s Prime Video. Still, it’s been years since an HBO original was available on a service not owned by Warner Bros. Discovery.
The roster of HBO shows potentially heading to Netflix remains undisclosed, but according to recent reports, it includes high-profile titles such as “Insecure.” Until an actual deal is struck, we can only speculate on the HBO shows that align well with Netflix’s content catalog. Data from Parrot Analytics — which takes into account consumer research,...

The Flash may be the fastest man alive, but his upcoming movie has had a slow crawl to release. We've previously documented the full timeline of production on "The Flash" and the many different directors and writers who've been at the helm. In 2015, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller ("The Lego Movie") were hired to write a treatment for "The Flash," with an option to direct. They instead chose to board "Solo: A Star Wars Story" as co-directors, but were later fired from that movie and replaced with Ron Howard. Fortunately, they got a second shot at the world of superheroes with "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse".
The final version of "The Flash" was directed by Andy Muschietti ("It") and written by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein ("Spider-Man: Homecoming"), and Joby Harold ("Army of the Dead"). However, Lord and Miller retain off-screen writing credits for "additional material," indicating that elements of their...

Summer movie season is upon us and with it, the biggest movies of the year are about to compete for your hard-earned money. Will you go see the latest superhero movie? The latest installment in a big franchise like "Fast and Furious" or "Mission: Impossible?" Or perhaps you're more excited about Pixar finally making a return to theaters with a wholly original movie like their ambitious romantic comedy "Elemental."
Granted, not everyone is comfortable going to theaters while there's still a global pandemic, but the world of streaming is not being left behind; there are just as many big shows and movies available at the click of a button as there are movies in theaters. Netflix is entering the month of May prepared, following the release of the second season hit "Sweet Tooth," and right before the return of "The Witcher." DC is going through its own Crisis event, rebooting the entire franchise and introducing plenty of changes. Many of these are rather exciting, like a focus on calling attention to the comics that influence the scripts or introducing horror to the DC movies.
But one of the most exciting additions was actually announced way before Peter Safran and James Gunn came on board. I'm talking about "Blue Beetle." The first live-action solo Latinx superhero story is set to introduce Jaime Reyes, a kid from El Paso, Texas who gains superpowers from a mystical scarab that comes from outer space. In the comics, Blue Beetle has been a member of both the Teen Titans and the Justice League.
The live-action movie stars "Cobra Kai" actor Xolo Maridueña and is directed by Angel Manuel Soto ("Charm City Kings"). Maridueña is no stranger to established franchises and doing cool stunts, having played Miguel Diaz...

DC Entertainment is looking to rethink its operating model, with DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran advancing “one creative vision,” as Safran recently put it. This means, among other things, that the newly formed Warner Bros. Discovery unit will oversee the development of different types of content instead of having the development process spread along several subsidiaries.
It’s far too early to anticipate how the restructuring will affect demand for new titles from the DC franchise — that will take years — but we can look back at how the franchise’s shows and movies performed over the last year under the older, more fragmented structure. The fact that audiences retain strong underlying interest may highlight why getting DC right is so important for Warner Bros. Discovery.

The DC Universe is undergoing its own Crisis event, with as much chaos surrounding what the franchise will and will not look like in the near future as a party organized by Joker. There's been cancellations, firings, fights with Dwayne Johnson, and poor-taste trickery about actors returning to roles without a single deal in place.
The thing is, as bad as the overall DC universe has been at times, we were just in the middle of a rather good run. Ever since the films stopped trying to copy Marvel and its interconnected universe, we've got some rather good (or at least interesting) films based on an eclectic collection of characters that would never have made it to the screen otherwise. Characters like Black Canary and Black Mask in "Birds of Prey," or the new version of Riddler in "The Batman," or King Shark in "The Suicide Squad." And this is...

Sometimes, it is tragic when a character dies. Other times, death is a cause for celebration, a villain vanquished at long last. Either way, death closes the book on a character, and dealing with that is a huge deal.
We have to reconcile ourselves to a world without this character. We have to make peace with never seeing them again. Well, never say never because sometimes, characters come back from the dead.
This twist has routes in soap operas, but as annoying as redemption arcs are, it's impressive when a show can surprise us.
If we didn't see a body, we might suspect something, but sometimes we believe someone is dead only to learn they aren't.
It's impressive when a show does this.
Check out our list of the top 13 death fakeouts when a show made you think someone was dead.

"Resident Alien" star Alan Tudyk has had a number of memorable roles throughout his career. In terms of movies, long-time fans look back fondly on the parts he played in "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story," "A Knight's Tale," and "Tucker & Dale vs Evil." He even had that memorable guest spot on an episode of "Frasier" as the new owner of Kacl that Dr. Crane takes under his wing. Although, his most beloved role to date is probably still the fun-loving pilot Hoban "Wash" Washburne from Joss Whedon's "Firefly" and its feature film sequel "Serenity."
However, to many members of his modern fanbase, Tudyk is likely more known for his voiceover work. He can be heard in "Ice Age," "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," "Young Justice," "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," and HBO's "Harley Quinn," among many other projects across film, TV, video games, and more. There are only a handful of universal truths in this world, and one of them is that Kevin Conroy is the best Batman of all time. Period. Case closed. Don't @ me. For over three decades, Conroy has voiced the Dark Knight across film, television, video games, and so much more, becoming the definitive performer of the character. Similar to the way Mark Hamill's portrayal of the Joker has influenced just about every rendition of the character that followed, Conroy's Batman voice is inimitable -- but that doesn't stop people from trying.
Vulture assembled the complete oral history of "Batman: The Animated Series" back in 2017, which contains some of the most insightful behind-the-scenes knowledge of all things animated Batman. In a surprise to no one, Conroy said that if there's ever been a different actor voicing Batman, it's because he wasn't asked to play the part.

Marvel Comics and their Distinguished Competition have a long history of sharing talent, and James Gunn is the first filmmaker to bridge that gap like artists and writers have for decades.
With "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "The Suicide Squad," Gunn elevated B-listers from both universes to the silver screen. Now, alongside Peter Safran, he's going to be running the new DC Studios for at least the next four years. Warner Bros. Discovery has been searching for a leader like Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige, and it seems they've found two. Feige's mix of producing savvy and comics knowledge is a rare blend, but together, Gunn and Safran might be able to rival it.

The butchering of The CW continues, with the grim reaper of TV cancellations claiming yet another victim: "Stargirl."
"Stargirl" first aired in the short-lived streaming service DC Universe, alongside "Titans," "Doom Patrol," "Swamp Thing," "Young Justice: Outsiders," and "Harley Quinn." That streaming service had surprisingly good programming, offering very different superhero experiences for any kind of fan. Sadly, it failed to really drive subscription numbers, and every show either got moved to HBO Max or got the axe (Rip "Swamp Thing").
As for "Stargirl," which aired episodes on The CW a day after their release, moved to that network starting on its second season. Imani has a new look on Y&R. Pic credit CBS
What happened to Imani on The Young and the Restless? That’s a question being asked after a new actress has taken over the role of Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) sister.
Leigh-Ann Rose originated the role of Imani in December 2019 when Amanda finally found her biological mother, Naya (Ptosha Storey).
The talented actress has been heating things up as Imani sets her sights on Nate (Sean Dominic), who’s dating Elena (Brytni Sarpy).
Since Imani has been making waves in Genoa City and the writers are clearly in the midst of a love triangle, it was a bit odd to see a new actress in the role.
There’s good news, though, for Imani fans.
Leigh-Ann isn’t gone for good.

Warner Bros. Discovery has turned into the most chaotic, uncertain place in the film industry almost overnight. After the studio decided to cancel "Batgirl" and "Scoob!
