LONDON -- Oscar winner Jim Broadbent will feature heavily in the BBC's Christmas schedules, as the pubcaster announced Monday its lineup for the holiday season. The Broadbent starrer Iris, for which he won a best supporting actor Oscar, gets its terrestrial premiere on BBC2 and, on BBC1, the actor appears again in The Young Visiters alongside Hugh Laurie (Stuart Little), in what the network calls "a quirky and charming view of Victorian London through the eyes of a 9-year-old girl." Laurie also stars in the terrestrial premiere of Stuart Little. Other feature film highlights include Mulan, Galaxy Quest, What Women Want and Meet the Parents. Echoing the musical theme adopted by commercial rival Channel 4, pubcaster the BBC also unveiled a Christmas lineup that includes the likes of The Nutcracker, Die Fledermaus and interactive versions of The Sound of Music and The Wizard of Oz.
