"The Twilight Zone" may have been an anthology series that featured a new cast of actors every single week, but it had a star. Series creator Rod Serling, an Emmy Award-winning screenwriter who personally wrote 92 episodes of the 156-episode series, was also the show's headliner. Every episode began with Serling introducing the story, teasing the unexpected ironies that would befall the latest characters. His pleasingly gravelly voice and serious business suit gave him an on-air authority usually reserved for news anchors, which gave a powerful legitimacy to the strange tales that were about to unfold.
Rod Serling was indelibly linked to "The Twilight Zone" in front of and behind the camera and was a driving force behind its bizarre tales of sci-fi and supernatural. So it might stand to reason that Serling, as a producer and a frontman for the series, wouldn't play favorites with the many episodes of the show.

Mediawan and Miramax TV have signed a deal to co-develop and produce high-end scripted content, kicking off with the series adaptations “Chocolat,” and the sci-fi novel “The Immortals.”
As previously announced, the “Chocolat” series will be based on the books by Joanne Harris which were previously adapted into an Oscar-nominated movie directed by Lasse Hallstrom. The movie also went on to gross more than 152 million worldwide.
The series will expand on the novels and the film, and will take place in modern-day France. The plot will revolve around a woman and her daughter who settle down in a small town and shake things down. Their biggest challenge will be to convince the town’s folks to embrace the change they are bringing into town. French screenwriter Chloé Marçais will writing the adaptation, with Nathalie Perus. Atlantique Productions, a Mediawan company, is executive producing the series in France.

James Corden tested his might — and his voiceover mettle — last night, when the CBS late-night host played a ’90s version of himself laying down the vocals for that “Mortal Kombat” techno track.
At first, he got the lyrics right — but the energy was way off. Then the delivery was terrible.
And then, following some direct direction from his producer, Corden fully blanked on the words. It’s one line, dude — check the poster directly behind you. Or the one to the right of you. Or the lyrics sheet on the music stand in front of you. Or literally just commit two words totaling 12 letters to memory.
Finally, Corden got it right. And then he destroyed the place.
Fatality.
Watch the video above.
For the 2021 “Mortal Kombat” movie reboot, composer Benjamin Wallfisch wrote an Edm (electronic dance music) remix of the original song titled “Techno Syndrome 2021.”
It’s a banger — listen to it here.

Every year, the WWE’s unofficial calendar begins anew after WrestleMania. The Showcase Of The Immortals has always been treated as the culmination of an entire year’s worth of booking, planning, and storytelling. The new wrestling year often sees new characters debut and new feuds beginning which often includes the creation of new main eventers, sometimes as soon as the R.A.W. (Raw After WrestleMania).
Regardless of when their opportunity arises, some superstars get elevated to the main event and never look back. Legends like Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and Steve Austin reached the top of the card after years of working the mid card and proved to be every bit worth the wait. Other superstars like Brutus Beefcake, Lex Luger, or more recently Jack Swagger and Ryback were thrust upon the main event scene following past WrestleManas only to fall back into obscurity shortly thereafter.

When Pulp Fiction opened in theaters 20 years ago today, the mainstream moviegoing audience was introduced to a dynamic new Hollywood talent. Quentin Tarantino was a 31-year-old hipster whose formal film education never rose much higher than working as a clerk in a Manhattan Beach video store. A walking encyclopedia of film history who fetishized some of the more obscure genres, Tarantino had a gift for dialog and his own visual toolbox that expanded the language of cinematic storytelling. Pulp Fiction was the culmination of a two-year stretch where the director went from Nobody to Wunderkind, beginning with the Sundance premiere...

What John Rambo's latest mission will be in "Rambo V" apparently is a little bit different from what has been suggested earlier. Bringing up the subject into attention is Ain't It Cool News (AICN), which claimed Sylvester Stallone suggested the fifth movie will involve a secret installation where U.S. military is doing experiments to create super soldiers.
Providing details on the plot told by the "Rambo" star, Harry of AICN wrote that instead of taking place near the U.S.-Mexico border, the film will be set in the Pacific Northwest.
