During an interview, Linnea Quigley was asked if she had ever been in an audience of fans and just watched their reactions to one of her films. She replied: "I have and it's really fun. Actually, when I first saw Night of the Demons (1988), I went to see it in a drive-in and it was really a great experience, except I forgot that the first scene I filmed was my bare butt bending over, and it was up on the screen really big, and I was like 'Oh God, no' and a little embarrassed."
Linnea Quigley (Suzanne) and special effects artist Steve Johnson met when she came in to get the mold for her fake breasts done. They were later married.
Produced for a modest $1.2 million, the film racked up outrageously large grosses in its limited release. Debuting in Detroit, it hit New York City at Thanksgiving, and earned $3.109m, holding screens until the end of the year.
In a 2014 interview, director Kevin Tenney was talked about filming the infamous lipstick scene with Linnea Quigley "Linnea had been nude modeling long before she had been starring in movies, so she was completely comfortable doing the scene. She read the script. Saw what we were going to do. Sent her over to Steve Johnson who made a cast of her breasts, and the rest is history."
