- The Australian theatrical version was cut to receive a more commercial 'M' rating (all ages admitted but recommend for 15 and over) rather then an 'R' rating (restricted to 18 years and over).
- Don Wanderly (the dead brother from the beginning) appears in the car in the pond, as Don dreams on a bus- this was the original ending, but it was cut, because it didn't measure up (for preview audiences) without featuring Eva Galli. -Eva Galli appears as an eyeless apparition with a huge mouth- the camera zooms into her mouth and down her throat (during the heart attack of Melvyn Douglass's character)
