Noted talk-show host Jimmy Fallon would have had a completely different life if he had picked up on a hint years ago. The SNL alum was reportedly blindsided when actress Nicole Kidman brought up a ‘date’ they had back when she was single after her divorce from Tom Cruise. Fallon reportedly did not know that it was a date.
The talk-show host later revealed that he was extremely embarrassed by the revelation, which came after Kidman married country rockstar Keith Urban. Fallon also revealed that in the years since Kidman’s confession, the crush has become a running joke between the three and has even led Fallon to prank Kidman.

Hollywood has been known for long as the glitzy world of flashy dreams and shattered romances. And more often these two happen together, as young faces struggle to make a name for themselves in the industry, while making new bonds and leaving old ones behind. Comedian and actor Jimmy Fallon’s rise to stardom is one such inspirational story, but his obliviousness to romantic hints is just as hilarious.
The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon
Before he married Nancy Juvonen in 2007, Fallon had associations with a number of beautiful actresses, such as Nicole Kidman and Kate Hudson. However, the comedian failed to pick up on their clues, either due to being too focused on his career, or flat-out believing he never had a chance.

A slew of late-night hosts are finally turning the lights back on this week after some Pto. Meanwhile, three of the last shows standing last week are going dark.
Monday, April 29 will mark the return of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Fallon & Meyers have been on an extended two-week spring break, and Colbert joined them last week.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be back with new episodes as well. Kimmel has pumped out new episodes all April long, but was off Thursday night for the NFL draft.
Saturday Night Live is also back later this week with host and musical guest Dua Lipa, after taking two weeks off.
As each of these programs return, three of the shows that have been holding down the fort are going on break themselves.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to play ping-pong with Prince you’ve come to the right place. On this week’s episode of 20 Questions on Deadline, Jimmy Fallon tells a frankly bizarre story about the “Purple Rain” legend and his penchant for table tennis.
We also gain insight into Keith Urban’s sense of humor as Fallon reveals a prank he and Urban once played on Nicole Kidman at an event, plus, the shame-inducing ‘date’ Fallon went on with her years ago.
All these anecdotes seem especially apropos, given that Fallon is celebrating ten years as host of The Tonight Show. In celebration, NBC will air a two-hour special on May 14th, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon: 10th Anniversary Special.

Jodie Foster is undoubtedly one of the biggest female stars in Hollywood. The actress made a name for herself by playing the young prostitute Iris Steensma in Scorsese’s Taxi Driver, after having appeared in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore two years prior. But, while her filmography includes some important titles like The Accused (1988), Sommersby (1993), Maverick (1994), Contact (1997), Anna and the King (1999), Panic Room (2002), Flightplan (2005), Inside Man (2006), The Brave One (2007), Nim’s Island (2008), Carnage (2011), Elysium (2013), The Mauritanian (2021), and Nyad (2023), her best-known role is that of Clarice Starling in The Silence of the Lambs, which also brought her her second Oscar. Recently, she also appeared in True Detective: Night Country.
But, while she has definitely gathered a large number of major roles, she has also – as you might have assumed – rejected and lost several other major roles, and from what we know now, one of these roles was a major Star Wars role.

Stephen Colbert closed out Los Angeles’ annual PaleyFest TV festival Sunday afternoon, as he sat down for a conversation with comedian Ben Schwartz about his career and time at The Late Show desk.
During the wide-ranging chat inside the Dolby Theatre — which ranged from Colbert’s start in Chicago’s improv scene to his stint as a Sunday school teacher and his love of fantasy films — Schwartz asked the host if he would ever want to return to acting, for which he went to school.
“I was purely acting up until I had The Late Show,” Colbert recalled, as he had been in character on The Colbert Report and The Daily Show. “One of the weirdest things about taking the job is my manager, James ‘Babydoll’ Dixon, when he said, ‘Hey, it’s you.’ And I went, ‘Me?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, do you want to do it?’ And I’m like,...

“Next Stop Paris” is the first original series produced by Tcl TV Plus Studios, and features voiceover actors providing dialogue for AI-generated characters. (Screen capture by The Desk)
First stop, Paris. Actually, it’s called Next Stop Paris — an original film produced by Tcl, a firm better known for making TVs, soundbars, washing machines, and air conditioners than movies. They did what you’d think techy people would do. They used AI to create the characters. The “original” movie will run on Tcl’s free, ad-supported streaming service, Tcl TV Plus. Remember the good old days when we’d just call TV and watch real people? There’s still one twist.
Tcl is using real voiceover actors for AI characters. What? Why? Why would someone take half a walk? I mean, if you’re going to create characters with AI, why not finish the job with AI voices? It’s...

Samuel L. Jackson is an iconic actor, who has been synonymous with being a charismatic on-screen persona, and captivating audiences worldwide. While the actor has immense acting range, fans love him for his outstanding use of colorful language both on and offscreen. Jackson’s delivery of profane language is outstanding, which is often neatly integrated with intense emotions. From anger to sheer disappointment, his emotional intensity deeply resonates with his viewers.
Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury
However, to everyone’s surprise, the Pulp Fiction actor is not the biggest on-screen cursor that the entertainment industry has witnessed. Surprisingly, research was conducted to find out the biggest users of obscene language, and to everyone’s surprise, Jackson was beaten in his own game by none other than Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Late-night talk shows were like home when I was a teenager. Social anxieties could disappear, bullies were non-existent, and the humorous, non-consequential words of the hosts would calm me down after a stressful day at school. The comedians who took over TV after 11:35 Pm welcomed me into a universe I belonged to, a complete contrast from the social outcasting I felt in the classroom walls. I could live vicariously through their jokes and joyful scenarios in which the audience cheered and clapped, and nobody’s confidence was shattered by a lousy joke.
Along with Craig Ferguson, Conan O’Brien was a nightly weekday highlight. Conan’s spastic impressions and self-deprecating pokes were a warm fire in front of the TV, a silly distraction for me and so many of his viewers who loved to gather around his aura every night on NBC and then TBS at the dawn of the decade.

We’ve seen Jimmy Fallon jam like this before, but never with so many collaborators.
Pulling from his recurring bit of performing songs with classroom instruments, Fallon and Keke Palmer led a theater full of Television Academy members in a group rendition of the song “Wild Thing.”
Fallon managed to sing, play kazoo, and provide percussion while conducting the audience, who were given kazoos, cowbells, and maracas to play along. Palmer took on kazoo duties as well.
Fallon shared a video of the performance on Twitter/X:
Thank you to @KekePalmer and everyone who came out to the Pacific Design Center yesterday for our Tonight Show #FYC event, and for helping us out with an impromptu Wild Thing Classroom Instruments. That was fun. pic.twitter.com/IdFj40Nd3I

Now that The Tonight Show has crowned a winner in its Spring book club, we’re getting a first look at what a Jimmy Fallon book bump looks like in 2024.
Back in March, Fallon announced the return of his Fallon Book Club with a tournament-style bracket to choose The Tonight Show’s next official book selection. Last week, Fallon announced “Nightwatching” by Tracy Sierra as the winning pick on air (and sent everyone in the audience home with a copy).
On Friday’s program, Fallon highlighted the effect the tournament has had on the book’s sales. When he first mentioned the book club on air, the “Nightwatching” hardcover stood at #20,143 in Amazon Books’ Best Sellers Rank. Two days after Fallon announced it as the winner, the book shot up to at least #46 on that list.

February 17, 2024 officially marked Jimmy Fallon’s 10-year anniversary behind The Tonight Show desk. But as far as the comedian is concerned, he’s only just getting started.
On Sunday, Fallon took part in a panel conversation at Deadline’s Contenders Television: Los Angeles, where he touched on the history of The Tonight Show and Johnny Carson’s record as its longest running host, with a little less than 30 years under his belt. So for Fallon, 30 seems to be the magic number.
“I’m gonna go, ‘You guys want me? Let’s break the record,’” the SNL alum said of his plan to be in it for the long haul. “Let’s go, let’s do 30 years!”

Jimmy Fallon, host of NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, is about to celebrate his 10th anniversary fronting a franchise that first began with Steve Allen behind the desk in 1954, followed by Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien (and Jay Leno again) — and he’s keen to keep it going.
Speaking about Carson’s record as the longest-running (and most-identifiable) host of this seminal late-night show, Fallon said during a panel at Deadline’s Contenders Television event, “I’m gonna go, you guys want me? Let’s break the record, let’s go, let’s do 30 years!”

Fallon himself has already spent 25 years at NBC in different incarnations. He started on Saturday Night Live in 1998 (“thinking that’s the goal”) and has now “for more than half of my life been at the same building.”

Ryan Gosling claims he was hesitant to take on the task of singing as his “Ken” character at the Oscars, initially giving show producers a “100% no” when asked.
“There’s a lot of ways that could go wrong,” Gosling told Jimmy Fallon during Thursday’s Tonight Show.
The risk of bad reviews had Gosling initially concerned. Fortunately for him, that didn’t happen.
“Imagine the reviews I would have had if I’d have The Roots,” Gosling joked, referring to Fallon’s in-house band.
Still, there were critics. His daughter’s reaction was, “Dad’s Kenning again,” he said.
“I mean, it was their interest in Barbie and their disinterest in Ken that sort of started all of this.” Gosling previously mentioned that his daughters haven’t even watched the film and likely won’t.

From SNL’s “The Barry Gibb Talk Show” to The Tonight Show’s “Wheel of Musical Impressions,” music has always been a part of Jimmy Fallon’s comedy. Which is why his performance of “Total Eclipse of the Heart” alongside Heart during this week’s solar eclipse was totally on-brand.
Somewhat more surprising, however, was the recent revelation that Jerry Seinfeld asked Fallon to record a song for the soundtrack of his new Netflix movie Unfrosted–especially given that the late night-host has no other role in Seinfeld’s directorial debut. But now that the track has arrived, it’s beginning to make more sense.
The song, a duet with Meghan Trainor titled “Sweet Morning Heat,” was actually co-written by Seinfeld, who also co-wrote, produced, and stars in the film, which revisits the contentious rivalry between the Post and Kellogg’s cereal brands and the invention of the Pop-Tart.

Despite Ryan Gosling’s Oscars performance of “I’m Just Ken” being a highlight of the 2024 show, the actor admits he originally did not want to perform the nominated song.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, the Barbie actor said his answer was “100 percent no” when he was first asked to perform the film’s hit song.

Guthrie and Kotb, who have hosted previous Olympics coverage, will be positioned on a Seine bridge to report on the pageantry as the...

In his feature directorial debut, actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld also stars in an upcoming comedy movie titled Unfrosted: The Pop Tart Story, based on a screenplay he co-wrote with a team of writers. His team of writers included Spike Feresten, Barry Marder, and Andy Robin. The movie stars Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Amy Schumer, James Marsden, Hugh Grant, Dan Levy, and more, in addition to Seinfeld leading the cast.
The movie, which is scheduled to make its debut on Netflix in May, is loosely based on the true story of the creation of Pop-Tarts toaster pastries. The actor-comedian reportedly deconstructed his Pop Tart stand-up bit from his last Netflix special, 23 Hours to Kill, and explored it into a giant comedy movie. The debutant director talks about casting Hugh Grant in the movie.

Jim Parsons has starred in several other movies and shows over the years, but his most notable work continues to be The Big Bang Theory even after so many years since the last season aired. This is perhaps because his involvement with the series never ended as he serves as the narrator and producer on the spin-off series Young Sheldon.

In a recent interview in which he discussed his appearance in the finale of the series, he addressed a rumor that suggests he was married to singer Rihanna. In the process of debunking the theory, he said something that makes one wonder if his husband doubts his capability of dating someone like Rihanna.

Tuesday night saw something that, fourteen years ago, might have seemed impossible: Conan O’Brien returned to “The Tonight Show.” And he was greeted with a standing ovation.
He was there, ostensibly, to promote a forthcoming Max series in which he travels the world meeting fans. But he’d come a long way just to get to 30 Rockefeller Center in 2024, and the interview with current “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon functioned as a peace offering, or a marker of how much time has passed.
O’Brien, after all, exited the program under a cloud in 2010, after a much-followed period of corporate intrigue. Inheriting the show from Jay Leno, O’Brien was set up to fail when NBC programmed a prime-time Leno series, which bombed, as his lead-in five nights a week; O’Brien departed the show after only seven months, at which point Leno replaced him. O’Brien comported himself throughout with a certain pained dignity,...

He may have lost the first round of the late-night pizza wars to Jimmy Kimmel, but Jimmy Fallon is back on the scene with what promises to be a formidable new challenger.
Fallon, who’s no stranger to tasty food collaborations (see his two Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavors), has found a new partner in Pizza Hut and the Los Angeles concept restaurant Chain
Founded by chef Tim Hollingsworth and actor B.J. Novak, Chain serves gourmet dishes inspired by American chain eateries. Its latest offering is “Jimmy’s Personal Pan Pizza.”
Although it’ll only be available for three days, organizers say Fallon might just “OutPizza the Hut” with his four-cheese pan pizza, which includes “a 24 month aged Vacche Rosse parmigiano and Chef Tim’s spicy red sauce.”

Conan O’Brien returned to The Tonight Show last night, reflecting with host Jimmy Fallon about his time on NBC’s late-night shows. The comedian hosted Late Night for 16 seasons from 1993 to 2009, before briefly helming The Tonight Show from 2009 to 2010, when he was fired.
“It’s weird to come back,” O’Brien said. “I haven’t been in this building for such a long time, and I haven’t been on this floor in forever. I was here for 16 years doing the Late Night show before we went out to LA.

If you love late-night TV and you miss Conan O’Brien (as you should), you have to scarf up every opportunity that comes along; so last night’s guest shot with Jimmy Fallon was–to underscore the NBC-themed nostalgia of it all–Must See TV.
The studio audience certainly knew it. They knew this was Conan returning to NBC, and returning to The Tonight Show for the first time since he departed the show in 2010 on terms so bad that he used his last week on the air trying to (symbolically) drain NBC’s budget by doing things like (fictionally) having a rare fossil skeleton of a ground sloth spray Beluga caviar on an original Picasso.
The sustained standing ovation proved the audience was into the momentousness of the occasion. So was Fallon, who called Conan “larger than life.”
And so was Conan, who replied with mock arrogance: “The word’s iconic.

Conan O’Brien made his Tonight Show return on Tuesday, and he and host Jimmy Fallon reminisced about O’Brien’s time with NBC’s late-night shows.
The comedian hosted Late Night for 16 seasons, from 1993 to 2009 before his short tenure with The Tonight Show from 2009 to 2010.
“It’s weird to come back,” O’Brien told Fallon during his latest appearance. “I haven’t been in this building for such a long time, and I haven’t been on this floor in forever.”
He added, “I was here for 16 years doing the Late Night show before we went out to L.A. and right across the hall — all these memories came flooding back to me.” O’Brien later joked that it was strange seeing other sets built in what used to be his show’s studio.
Earlier during their conversation, Fallon also noted that O’Brien was his first-ever talk show appearance.

As Conan O’Brien Returns To ‘The Tonight Show’, He Reminisces About ‘Late Night’ Rather Than 11:30pm
Conan O’Brien returned to The Tonight Show for the first time as a guest since he left the NBC show.
However, the comedian largely dodged talking about his stint on the 11:30pm show. O’Brien hosted the between June 2009 and January 2010 but was replaced by Jay Leno’s return to the show.
He briefly mentioned it at the top of his appearance following a standing ovation from the audience. “I know you meant well, but I had The Tonight Show for ten minutes and you ate into my time,” he joked.
O’Brien wasn’t pressed by host Jimmy Fallon about his time on The Tonight Show.
He did, however, reminisce about his time hosting at 12:30am. O’Brien hosted Late Night between 1993 and 2009.

Sitting down with Jimmy Fallon Tuesday night in his first visit back to the Tonight Show since he stepped down as host in 2010, Conan O’Brien told a story about the time a fire at 30 Rock forced his show out of its studio on the sixth floor, so they taped show from the Rockefeller Center ice skating rink instead.
“The guest was Samuel L. Jackson,” O’Brien recalled to Fallon. “Andy Richter, my sidekick, and I ran into a Sharper Image and bought one of those massage chairs, and put it out next to the rink. And Samuel L. Jackson is like sitting there–the coolest guy in the world–but no one can make one of those chairs cool.”

Every now and then, Jimmy Fallon gets a little bit lonely, and every now and then, he gets a little bit tired of listening to the sound of his tears — so this year’s solar eclipse was actually a great way for him to have a communal, shared experience. Jimmy Fallon rang in the solar eclipse as only he can on Monday night’s Tonight Show.
Fallon opened his show with a message to viewers: “We have a special show tonight: Heart is our musical guest, and obviously today is the solar eclipse. So we thought we have to do what we have to do. We have to sing ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ with Heart, while watching the solar eclipse.”
Donning solar glasses and an eighties era hairstyle and suit, the Tonight Show host then took to the roof of 30 Rock where he joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers in a rocking edition of Bonnie Tyler’s 1983 hit. Naturally it ended with a callback to the song’s ridiculous music video.
Monday night wasn’t Heart’s first appearance with Fallon. In 2010 they appeared on an episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Like a lot of New Yorkers, Jimmy Fallon was highly amused by the 4.8 magnitude earthquake that hit the greater New York City area on Friday.
The host of “The Tonight Show” had plenty of jokes about it during his monologue, joking at the jump that “while everything was shaking, Times Square Elmo was like ‘whoa, the drugs are hitting different today.'”
“No one is ready for an earthquake. The last thing New York is expected to see this morning was the Statue of Liberty twerking,” Fallon added.
“The NYPD said that the earthquake did not cause any damage to the subway,” Fallon said, continuing his very NYC-focused jokes. “Yep, apparently all that damage was there before. So, what a week. New York on Wednesday, we had floods. Today there was an earthquake. Monday there’s going to be an eclipse. Craziest of all? Last night the Mets won.”

New Yorkers were shaken up on Friday morning when a 4.8-magnitude earthquake hit Lebanon, New Jersey, and was felt across the tri-state area.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake at 10:23 a.m. local time, in the Jersey city about 45 miles west of New York City and 50 miles north of Philadelphia. According to The Associated Press, the agency notes that more than 42 million people may have felt the quake.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul posted on X that the quake was felt throughout the state: “My team is assessing impacts and any damage that may have occurred, and we will update the public throughout the day.”
New York-based figures like late night host Jimmy Fallon and Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr. responded to the earthquake with humor.
Fallon wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted, “Having a dance party with Godzilla rn in NYC. Sorry for the scare.

Conan O’Brien has set a return to “The Tonight Show,” slotting a guest appearance for next week’s April 9 broadcast. The occasion will mark the comedian and former late night host’s first time back on the program since his acrimonious exit from NBC in 2010, in which he was replaced by Jay Leno as the show’s host following a seven-month tenure.

Hunter Schafer rose to fame for her role as Jules Vaughn, a trans girl on Euphoria. It was her breakout role and an important one too, not just for Schafer but for many within the LGBTQ+ community since representation comes with the price of stereotypes usually.
Since then, the actress has slowly carved a niche for herself, and she is now one of the most vocal artists in the industry. However, Schafer has reached a point where she is selective about the roles she picks. As a consequence, she has turned down several trans roles that were offered to her.

Euphoria star Hunter Schafer recently graduated from TV to film with appearances in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and Cuckoo. The latter was reportedly her first time on a film set, despite being one of the breakout stars of HBO’s Euphoria. In the teen drama, she played the role of Jules, the love interest and friend of Zendaya’s Rue.

It’s been over fourteen years since Conan O’Brien last appeared on The Tonight Show–and back then, it was as the show’s host.
We all know how that went down, but his first visit to the franchise since then promises to be a much more light-hearted affair.
O’Brien is set to sit down with Jimmy Fallon Tuesday April 9th to discuss his new Max series, Conan O’Brien Must Go.
He has technically appeared on the show one other time since stepping down as host–in 2018, as part of a brief recorded sketch that also featured Stephen Colbert and aired on both Colbert’s and Fallon’s shows, but this will mark O’Brien’s first physical visit to the show.
While there was no love lost between O’Brien and Jay Leno, who was both his predeccessor and his successor at The Tonight Show desk, O...

While stopping by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday, Sarah Paulson dished on the time she and longtime friend, Pedro Pascal, couldn’t agree on who Beyoncé blew a kiss to during her Renaissance World Tour.
The actress gushed over the recent release of Beyoncé’s monumental album, Cowboy Carter, and how, like the rest of the world, she “was up right until the album dropped.” The Ocean’s 8 star then recalled the time she and Pascal attended the Los Angeles leg of the Renaissance tour (a moment...

Hillary Clinton will appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this coming Monday, April 1.
The former Secretary of State, First Lady, and 2016 Presidential nominee is no stranger to Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show: She has appeared on the program six times since 2015.
This will be former Sec. Clinton’s first appearance on a late night talk show since September 2022, when she appeared alongside daughter Chelsea Clinton on Late Night with Seth Meyers, a week after her most recent visit to Fallon.
Clinton and Fallon have a lot to talk about as the 2024 presidential race continues to heat up, with Democratic incumbent Joe Biden facing off against Donald Trump, who defeated Clinton in 2016.
Last night, her husband, former President Bill Clinton was interviewed alongside President Biden and former President Barack Obama by Late Show host Stephen Colbert in a live event at Radio City Music Hall — part of a...

A pop track about Pop-Tarts? Sounds about right.
Jimmy Fallon hosted Jerry Seinfeld on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show, and the duo discussed Seinfeld’s new Netflix movie about the creation of the breakfast treat.
Unfrosted is the legendary comic’s directorial debut. It features a who’s-who of comedy legends, and hits the streamer May 3.
Fallon teased earlier in the week that he and Meghan Trainor recorded a song for Seinfeld’s movie, Sweet Morning Heat. Mark Ronson produced the track.
“About a month ago, I get a phone call from you,” Fallon said to Seinfeld during his Wednesday Tonight show appearance. “You say: ‘Jimmy. I did the movie, Unfrosted. It came out great. It’s locked, but I still think there’s room to get Jimmy Fallon in this movie.”
Fallon added that he was getting prepared for an actual on-camera role, but Seinfeld threw a curve ball at him.

Saturday Night Live wasn’t all laughs. During a Tuesday visit to The Tonight Show, Maya Rudolph and host Jimmy Fallon recalled a special moment at the read-through table.
Rudolph recalled pitching a heartfelt tribute to Ferrell during his last read-through in 2002. It never made it onto the air, but it lives on in the memories of those who were there.
“Do you remember Will’s last read-through, when you did Poetry Man and we were all just crying?” Fallon asked Rudolph.
“At the last table read, you write stuff that you know isn’t going to make it on the show, but you just do it to send off the person that you love,” Rudolph explained to the audience. “We did, it was like a parody of the Phoebe Snow song [Poetry Man], but I made it: ‘You’re the comedy man/You make everything alright.’”
