The previous teasers for The Blackcoat's Daughter director Osgood Perkins' next feature, Longlegs, have been very effective in building an aura of unsettling dread around the mysterious horror flick, but this latest trailer really takes things to another level.
Though the movie is still playing things relatively close to the chest when it comes to revealing specific plot details, this footage does give us a little more to go on, as rookie FBI agent Lee Harker (It Follows star Maika Monroe) becomes obsessed with tracking down a sadistic serial killer (Nicolas Cage) who targets families - and might just have supernatural abilities.
Harker has a personal connection to the killer (did she survive an earlier attack?), which leads her down an even darker path and into the world of the Occult.
Say your prayers, check out the new trailer and poster below along with the initial social media reactions, and...

As far as individual authors go, Stephen King is certainly in the top of the list of authors whose works have been adapted. He is right there with Agatha Christie, Edgar Allan Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle, and other authors whose works have been adapted often and in many forms. But unlike the aforementioned authors, King’s adaptations are usually original, while the other authors have seen their works adapted and remade more than once. In light of that fact, we can confirm that King’s story, “The Monkey,” had been adapted into a film this spring and the movie was presented to buyers at Cannes this year!
Knowing how popular King’s adaptations are, it was a sure thing that someone would buy the movie, and as it happens, Neon managed to nab the distribution rights for the upcoming movie and they have confirmed that a 2025 release date is currently planned.

Jason Cloth, a Canadian financier with executive producer credits on dozens of films such as Joker, Licorice Pizza and the upcoming Mission: Impossible movie, is out as co-head of C2 Motion Picture Group as he fields allegations of fraud on a number of projects.
The announcement that Cloth stepped down, made on Tuesday, comes less than a week after a Florida jury found that he defrauded an investor out of millions of dollars for the production of a slate of movies, including Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Monkey Man and NBA docuseries The Pathway. Cloth, who didn’t mount a defense in the trial, was ordered to pay roughly $19.6 million. Since 2021, he and his former financing company Creative Wealth Media have been named in at least four lawsuits, two of which have since been voluntarily dismissed, accusing him of making false statements to solicit investments and loans that he allegedly failed to repay.

The Conners will get one final run on ABC.
The network has picked up a seventh season of the comedy, which will be its last on the network. It’s also set to be the shortest of any of the show’s seasons, with an episode count likely in the single digits. The shortest previous season of The Conners was its first, which ran 11 episodes; this year’s strikes-shortened edition has 13. The series as a whole will have 106 episodes to its credit after the May 22 season finale.
The Conners premiered in fall 2018, a few months after ABC canceled its highly rated Roseanne revival following racist remarks by star Roseanne Barr. After the show’s producers, including Tom Werner and Sara Gilbert, negotiated Barr’s exit, ABC gave a series order to The Cooners, which follows the other members of the Conner family (Roseanne’s character dies offscreen before the show...

“The Conners” has been renewed for Season 7 at ABC, which will also be the show’s last. In addition, ABC has canceled “Not Dead Yet” after two seasons.

Horror fans have been keeping a very close eye on director Osgood Perkins' next project, and the first social media reactions for the mysterious Longlegs are in.
These reactions are highly positive, and it sounds like the movie is a genuinely disturbing, terrifying experience.
Though Longlegs definitely seems to be keeping its biggest secrets firmly under wraps for the time being (and the teasers are all the better for it), we do know that the plot revolves around a rookie FBI agent (It Follows star Maika Monroe) attempting to track down a sadistic serial killer (Nicolas Cage) who targets families.
Cage's character has largely been kept out of the marketing, aside from one unsettling shot.
Check out the social media posts below, and keep an eye out for a new trailer.

It was just a few weeks ago we reported S. Craig Zahler had two potential features lined up, one was of his long-in-the-works script for The Big Stone Grid, which Michael Mann was once attached to. The other was an original project he was hoping to get financed. It looks like the latter one is moving ahead and we have the first details today.
Zahler will next direct the crime thriller The Bookie & the Bruiser, featuring a reteam with his Brawl in Cell Block 99 and Dragged Across Concrete star Vince Vaughn, who will star alongside Adrien Brody. Here’s the synopsis: “The Bookie & the Bruiser is set in 1959 New York City and features a pensive, Jewish fellow named Rivner and an oversized Italian-American tough named Boscolo from the Lower East Side, both of whom served overseas in World War II and returned changed men who no longer fit inside the lives they’d left behind.

Spoiler Alert! This story contains plot points from Wednesday’s episode of The Conners on ABC.
The Conners celebrated a big milestone — 100 episodes! — by doing what it does best: telling stories about small-town life and reminding folks that it has one of the most experienced ensembles on broadcast TV. Here, executive producers Bruce Helford and Dave Caplan talk about their six-season odyssey and whether it’s time to start planning for a seventh year on ABC.
Deadline: I still remember the day when former ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey abruptly canceled the Roseanne reboot. And now, the spinoff, The Conners, is celebrating 100 episodes.

For any television series reaching its 100th episode, looking back is a given, but there aren’t many shows with a 35-year history like ABC’s “The Conners,” the sitcom following the blue-collar family with an affinity for getting knocked down by life’s struggles while making us laugh along the way. “It’s just lucky, I guess,” says John Goodman, who plays patriarch Dan Conner. “Now all of a sudden, it’s 100 episodes. I can’t believe how fast the time went by, but I guess that’s just because I’m getting old.”

Producer Tom Werner and the team behind ABC sitcom “The Conners” have reason to smile.
The series independently produced by Werner Entertainment has been sold in syndication by distributor Debmar-Mecury to TV station groups representating 85% of U.S. TV households. Starting in the fall reruns of the show’s first five seasons will begin airing in late afternoon and early evening time slots on stations around the country. “The Conners” began its strike-delayed sixth season on Feb. 7.
“The Conners” is one of the few new comedies in recent years to make it into traditional syndication deals with local stations around the country. Traditional multi-camera comedies in the vein of “The Conners” have become few and far between in the past decade as streaming options proliferated and the creative community leaned toward single-camera comedies and other formats that aren’t as syndication-friendly as a traditional sitcom.

The Conners is set to return for its sixth season on Wednesday, February 7, on ABC, and the show’s executive producers have dropped some teases about what fans can expect. First and foremost, Lecy Goranson‘s Becky will continue her newfound romance with FedEx pilot Tyler, played by Sean Astin, who will reprise his Season 5 role. “[Astin’s] in two of the first five episodes, and we’ve got plans for more of him,” executive producer Bruce Helford told TVLine. “It’s really nice because it’s the first time since Mark from the Roseanne days that we’ve really found someone where the chemistry is right for Lecy Goranson and for the Becky character.” These episodes will see Becky introduce Tyler to Dan (John Goodman), Jackie (Laurie Metcalf), Darlene (Sara Gilbert), and, eventually, her daughter, Beverly Rose (Charlotte Sanchez). “The Conners” is making its way to off-net syndication, as Tom Werner’s Werner Entertainment has stuck a deal with both Lionsgate Worldwide Television Distribution Group and Debmar-Mercury to distribute the sitcom’s first five seasons (and future seasons as well). “The Conners” will be sold for a fall 2024 launch in domestic syndication.
Under the deal, Lionsgate’s Worldwide Television Distribution Group will oversee international distribution, including SVOD, AVOD, basic cable and Fast rights, while Debmar-Mercury (which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lionsgate) will handle domestic syndication.
“The Conners,” which launched in 2018 as the successor series to “Roseanne”, was recently renewed for a sixth season on ABC. The show is ABC’s most-watched comedy, and has already hit 93 episodes — making it a rare new sitcom entrant in the off-network syndication world.

Around eight months ago, we heard that the apocalyptic thriller The End We Start From, an adaptation of author Megan Hunter’s 2017 debut novel (you can pick up a copy of Hunter’s novel at This Link), and was filming in London. Now Deadline reports that Paramount’s Republic Pictures label has picked up the North American distribution rights to the film, which stars Jodie Comer of Killing Eve and Free Guy, Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Mark Strong (1917), Joel Fry (Yesterday), Gina McKee (My Policeman), Nina Sosanya (His Dark Materials), and Katherine Waterston (Alien: Covenant).
