Michael Henaghan(I)
- Cinematographer
- Writer
- Camera and Electrical Department
Michael grew up in the small town of Hockessin, Delaware where he developed his love for the camera while making skateboarding videos with his friends and eventually fake movie trailers. He developed his skills in a high school video production class and learned he wanted to pursue this as a career. While attending Fairfield University, he sharpened his skills and learned the more technical aspects of the craft.
Upon graduating, he got a job working as a Seasonal Logger at NFL Films that eventually led to his start at COPA90 as a full-time shooter/editor. Here, he learned his love for doc-style shooting and he still takes that honest and observational mentality into his work. He shoots both documentary and narrative films, so his style plays the line between the two, creating an honest cinematic experience that captures the raw performance of the actors or subjects. He has no problem getting his hands dirty on set and love collaborating with new (to him) directors to create a new visual language.
He is available to work as a local for hire in NYC, VT, DE, PA, and is used to frequent travel around the globe.
