Glen Woodmansee
- Additional Crew
Glen Woodmansee was recruited by the L.A. Board of Education as the
studio teacher for the most-watched television drama at the time, "The
Waltons". They needed a 'Jack of all trades' who could teach all the
subjects that the child actors were taking. Glen taught in a one-room
school with an adjoining science lab, and organized enrichment
activities in addition to the required curriculum. After the series
ended, he continued to tutor bright kids who were acting in movies,
including one shot in Africa, as well as on TV series like "Full House"
and "Sister, Sister". On one cable series he went on an adventure every
day, as kids' wishes were granted by taking them up in blimps, flying
in a helicopter to an aircraft carrier at sea, scuba diving, and
visiting wild animal parks. He produced one of those adventure episodes
and has shot and edited his own video documentaries, including one on
(and in) an active volcano. Currently maintaining real estate
investments, Glen is not teaching very often although he keeps his
certifications updated. He was recently spelunking and scuba
diving in New Zealand while seeking new varieties of fruiting trees to
import for a collection at the Huntington Arboretum, and has shot video
interviews with New Zealanders for talks that he has given to clubs in
Southern California. He's interested in video editing and internet
schooling.
