A prolific killer who regularly wears a fetching hat, Nick Boon (Neal McDonough) is introduced entering a diner, as the unassuming image contrasts with an informant’s fear-laden monologue of the enforcer’s fearsome nature. Having relocated to a remote area to try and atone for his past sins, Boon also tries evading contract killers that are after him. After an early shootout leaves him wounded, he is tended to by Catherine (Christiane Seidel).
The killer soon becomes drawn into the local preacher’s issues, as the struggling widow and her son live in fear of criminal kingpin Mr. Fitzgerald (Tommy Flanagan). After an encounter with the kingpin’s predatory henchman, Boon becomes determined to protect the family by doing what he does best: killing.

IFC Films has revealed an official trailer for a grainy indie film called God's Time, marking the feature directorial of an NYU graduate filmmaker named Daniel Antebi. The film first premiered at last year's Tribeca Film Festival, and also stopped by the New Hampshire Film Festival in the fall, with a release finally set for February this winter. Two best friends go on an electric odyssey through New York City to stop the woman they love from committing murder in the stylish, bombastic and darkly funny God's Time. Described as "a crowdpleaser from last year's Tribeca." The festival adds this tidibt: "Vibrant, stylish, and expertly constructed, God's Time delivers uniquely dark comedy that both masks and emphasizes the beating, bruised heart at the center of this explosive powder keg." "We're in this together." Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for Paradise Highway, a thriller from filmmaker Anna Gutto making her feature directorial debut. This is premiering at the 2022 Locarno Film Festival, strangely, before being dumped onto VOD at the end of this month. With FBI operatives hot on her trail, Sally's conscience is challenged when the final package turns out to be a teenage girl. The impressive cast features Juliette Binoche as the truck driver (really?! but she pulls it off!!), Morgan Freeman as an FBI agent, plus Hala Finley, Cameron Monaghan, Frank Grillo, and Christiane Seidel. Childhood friendship can be a time of innocence, enchantment and perpetual excitement as portrayed in Sophia Silver’s modest yet assured debut feature, Over/Under. But the mutual intoxication of the two girls whose intense bond is tracked from age 9 through 13 falters when they slip out of sync in their hunger for adult experience. Graced by lovely, natural performances from its young leads and the warming light of the New England summers during which most of its key developments unfold, this is a gently stirring coming-of-age drama observed with the unmistakable pangs of memory.

2021 Golden Globe Final Predictions:
Best TV Movie/Limited Series
Updated: Feb. 24, 2021
Awards Commentary:
This year’s limited series category is an ambitious field, made up of personal tales like “Small Axe” and “Unorthodox,” an addictive mystery in “The Undoing” and a boundary-pushing, honest relationship tale with “Normal People.” But the compelling performance by Anya Taylor-Joy in “The Queen’s Gambit,” which manages to make chess exciting and one young woman’s personal journey combating her demons even more compelling, is the true frontrunner here.
And The Predicted Winner Is: "The Queen's Gambit" (Netflix)–
Executive Producers: William Horberg, Allan Scott, Scott Frank
Synopsis: Beth Harmon (played by Anya Taylor-Joy) is an orphan who becomes a chess prodigy, but alcoholism may prevent her from becoming the world champion.

Recently, HBO released the new, official synopsis/spoilers for their upcoming "Boardwalk Empire" episode 5 of season 5. The episode is entitled, "King Of Norway," and it sounds like things will get quite dramatic and intense, once again, as Chalky arrives back in Atlantic City with plans to impose major vengeance, and more! In the new, 5th episode press release: "Chalky (Michael Kenneth Williams) will return to Atlantic City with vengeance on his mind. Concerned about the ongoing threat from Luciano (Vincent Piazza), Nucky (Steve Buscemi) is going to arrange a meeting with Maranzano (Giampiero Judica) in New York. In Chicago, Eli’s (Shea Whigham) reunion with June (Nisi Sturgis) will take an unexpected turn after a dinner party hosted by Van Alden (Michael Shannon) and Sigrid (Christiane Seidel). Boardwalk Empire is one of the most intense shows on TV, but we wanted to know what it's like behind the scenes. Christiane Seidel stopped by our Los Angeles studio to give us an idea of what it's like to film with costar Michael Shannon. Apparently, during love scenes, Michael is nothing but a very considerate gentleman. Plus, we got the dirt on where their relationship is headed on the show.

Nucky Thompson has impressively wielded his extensive power and resources throughout the run of Boardwalk Empire. Though he may have only embraced his "full gangster" recently, Thompson has proven to be quite adept at political maneuvering and rallying the troops to vanquish whatever enemy dared to threaten his position as King of Atlantic City. However, now that he's facing someone as violent and dangerous as Gyp Rosetti, Nucky can't rely on the long-con anymore; he can't wait for the right moment to strike or Gyp will have gotten too powerful to take down.
But is it already too late?
Below are the dates, episode names, episode descriptions, and repeat airings for the next four episodes of Boardwalk Empire's third season.
Sunday, November 4th - "Pony"
Gillian (Gretchen Mol) makes her peace with Jimmy’s death, though not with Nucky (Steve Buscemi), as Gyp (Bobby Cannavale) arrives to play ally.

Boardwalk Empire, Season 3, Episode 3, “Bone For Tuna”
Written by Chris Haddock
Directed by Jeremy Podeswa
Airs Sundays at 9pm (Et) on HBO
Top moment this week: watching Bobby Cannavale and Gretchen Mol in their first scene together. It’s like watching a Great White and a cobra face off. Two entirely different but equally deadly creatures confront each other for the first time. They eye each other for weaknesses. They size up the best place to bite. They retreat to consider their options. It’s like Animal Planet in period dress.
If Cannavale as Gyp Rosetti is ably filling the large boots recently and sadly vacated by William Forsythe as Manny Horvitz – just watch Cannavale’s eyes go dead when he thinks Nucky’s careless reference to trees implies he is an ape – the rest of the male characters are lagging behind in the interest stakes. Irish hard man Owen...

Cult indie filmmaker Lisa Hammer (Pox, The Venture Brothers) has a new feature film! The new James Merendino/Lisa Hammer feature The Invisible Life Of Thomas Lynch is screening at the Cmj Film Festival this Thursday in NYC!
The Invisible Life of Thomas Lynch is a dark comedy about a lonely smalltime hit man. Shot documentary style, the film reveals a pathetically empty and misguided man and the callousness of the film makers who just want to get the shots, unmoved by torture and murder. The contradiction between personal life and job, and the apathy of the people making the documentary reflects satirically the dispassion of the media. Directed by James Merendino (Slc Punk, Magicians) and Lisa Hammer (The Venture Brothers, Mors Syphilitica) Starring: Steve Stanulis as Thomas Lynch, James Merendino as himself, Lisa Hammer as herself, Levi Wilson as himself, Andrew Langton as Frank Ritchie, Christiane Seidel as Tina,...
