"[Toby] has been a huge part of my life. Without him, there would be no Jamiroquai," Kay continued. "And as I write this, the moon is clear and bright in the sky, and I think of him how it should be, riding his mighty horse across it, leaving a trail of stars behind him.
Jamiroquai's original bassist, Stuart Zender, also remembered his bandmate in an Instagram post. "I love you so much. My big brother Toby crossed over to the other side last night. All my fondest memories are of him and the band that we created," he wrote. "The most talented...

The BBC has finally made an official announcement regarding the future of Top Gear, with DJ Chris Evans becoming the show's new lead host.
Following Jeremy Clarkson's departure, it also looks as if James May and Richard Hammond will not be returning, although this has yet to be officially confirmed.
Evans has said that a female co-host will "definitely" be joining him, but who is in line for one of the biggest TV shows in the world? Here's a list of potential options tipped by bookmakers and fans alike.
1. Jodie Kidd
One of the most popular choices at the bookies, Kidd is a good friend of Clarkson and the Top Gear team, and knows her stuff when it comes to motors.
Primarily known for her modelling work before a career in TV, she is a keen motor racer and has taken part in the Gumball 3000 several times. At one stage,...

If rumours are to be believed, Jodie Kidd, Philip Glenister and Guy Martin could be the next presenters of Top Gear.
According to the Sunday Express, the show's co-creator Andy Wilman was overheard describing the new line-up while having lunch with Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay.
All three stars have relevant experience: former model Kidd presents Channel 5's Classic Cars Show, Life on Mars actor Glenister hosts For the Love of Cars on Channel 4 and Martin is a TV presenter and former motorcycle racing champion.
It could all be pure speculation, but what if this was the new trio? Let us know your thoughts in the poll:

I know, I know. Blasphemy. But think about it. What do Ross and Rachel really have in common, anyway? And they didn't really date for that long over the span of the "Friends" series. They just kept randomly hooking up and having babies and getting married. Other than those trivial things, no connection.
I propose that Joey would have made a lot more sense as Rachel's lobster (anyone?).
Why? I'll tell you.
[Note: If you haven't watched the entire series, there are spoilers in this post. But I use the term "spoilers" loosely because it's been almost 10 years since the series ended. So I don't really feel bad. Well, I do a little, because if this disclaimer applies to you, your life is incomplete.]
1. Neither take life too seriously (ahem, Ross).
Exhibit A: both laugh at "homo erectus" during Ross's keynote speech in Barbados.
Exhibit B: Rachel teaches Ross's son, Ben, how to prank him. Ross is not amused.
Exhibit C: Joey's entire lifestyle.
2. Ross turns into a soggy marshmallow whenever he's dating Rachel. Is it just me or does Rachel totally wear the pants in this relationship? Watching them interact when they are officially "together" is like watching a chihuahua pout...

The Swiss watch brand Iwc Schaffhausen gathered stars in France for the Cannes Film Festival in the town of Antibes last night for its For the Love of Cinema party. The location was the luxurious seaside Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, which made for a picturesque night. Rooney Mara, Naomi Watts, and Karolína Kurková were among the famous women who hit the red carpet wearing timepieces from the brand, as did actor Christoph Waltz and race car driver Lewis Hamilton. The group was treated to a performance by Jamiroquai's Jay Kay and dinner inside the hotel's restaurant. Wearing a long-sleeved leather Balmain dress, Karolína discussed her bold choice and said, "It's not short!" She also revealed that her travels to Cannes were partially for work and partially for a family vacation with her husband, Archie Drury, and their son, Tobin. Naomi, meanwhile, wore a chic floral gown from Dolce & Gabbana. She told...

It's episode 2 of Season 4 and the Real Housewives of Atlanta are already going to Miami. Maybe they can meet up with everyone's favorite Housewives, The Real Housewives of Miami! Haha, Jay Kay everyone hated that. The only good thing to come out of it was Mama Elsa. Anyway, this trip is bringing back bad memories of the Kim and NeNe fight that would not end.
I wish Kim and NeNe would be friends again, I liked it so much when they were friends. But NeNe is in Miami with Kandi and Cynthia to "get away from all the haters." Kandi isn't sure what will happen with this friendship between her and NeNe and I'm not sure what will happen with that new long weave.

Regardless of their cooking abilities, there are some movie characters whose dinner invitations you should definitely turn down. Here are 12 prime examples…
I don't go out much, me, what with watching as many films as I do, as well as having a complete lack of anything resembling a social life.
However, I sometimes compensate for this by imagining all sorts of dazzling social occasions I could attend with my friends from the movies. You know, my real friends, the ones who I talk to under my Clone Wars duvet at night when I'm not scribbling poems for Carrie Fisher in purple crayon.
Being a healthy lad who likes his food, I often imagine these scenarios playing out in some fancy West End restaurant. However, as I lay there one night, imagining an evening at Le Gavroche with Jason Voorhees and Mrs Bates, I thought to myself, "Hang on, I probably...

Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay thinks nobody parties like a rock star anymore. The singer thinks that the golden age of Rock & Roll behavior has passed as pop music has become increasingly commoditized and marketed, and because social media and camera phones mean stars can be caught out by any member of the public.

Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay has blasted Sex Pistols rocker John Lydon, accusing him of becoming a "nuisance" during a long-haul flight to Australia. The singer was sitting next to Lydon, also known as Johnny Rotten, when he was flying Down Under - and he was infuriated when the controversial star repeatedly passed gas throughout the entire journey.
He tells Britain's The Sun, "He is a f**king nuisance. I was seated next to him on a flight and the whole trip he just kept farting. It was totally foul. He kept saying, 'Oh, that wasn't me' or 'The meal smells a bit off, don't you think?' He drove me insane."
The experience was so bad Jay Kay insists he'd prefer to move to economy class rather than be seated next to Lydon again, adding "At least I'd be able to breathe a bit. They banned smoking in the air and they should ban farting.

Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay has taken aim at pop phenomenon Lady GaGa, dismissing her as a "money-making freak". The "Space Cowboy" hitmaker is well known for his outspoken views, and recently launched a tirade against British pop star Cheryl Cole and Australian singer Dannii Minogue just hours before he performed on U.K. talent show "The X Factor" - on which they are both judges.
And the star didn't hold back when he was asked for his opinion on pop's current first lady GaGa, insisting she is nothing more than a music industry marketing tool. He says, "Lady Gaga is a money-making freak for her label. We (Jamiroquai) are not like that. We do music, not marketing. Lady GaGa is obviously a phenomenon. The world loves a freak. If the record companies see that they can make money with them, they will do anything."

Jamiroquai is back with some of the dance-fueled funk that won them critical acclaim and no less than 35 million albums sold worldwide. But while pop and rock music has taken a turn for the electronic, the Grammy-winning group are back with their most live sounding album yet.
"Rock Dust Light Star" is Jamiroquai's seventh studio album and the band's first since 2005's "Dynamite," which featured the #1 U.S. dance hit "Feels Just Like It Should." It's also their first release since their greatest hits compilation, "High Times: Singles 1992-2006."
The album is expected to be due out in November from Mercury Records, with the single "White Knuckle Ride" being released strictly on limited edition vinyl before the album's release. It'll be followed by a wide release single, "Blue Skies," described as "an epic, blissful, sun-kissed Californian mid tempo song with lush string arrangements and perhaps Jay's most emotive vocal to date.

British jazz funk band Jamiroquai are reforming to release their first album in five years. The "Space Cowboy" hitmakers parted ways after releasing 2005's "Dynamite" because frontman Jay Kay was too exhausted by their busy schedule to continue.
But after stepping out of the spotlight, Jamiroquai is now set to release a comeback record, "Rock Dust Light Star", in November. Jay Kay tells Britain's The Sun, "I was knackered (tired). The whole thing became a little sterile. But everything has clicked now."
Jamiroquai have also shared about the next LP on their official website. They wrote, "We think at a time when many acts are producing electronic, disco-influenced tracks, with 'Rock Dust Light Star' Jamiroquai has moved on and reverted to a more organic, live sound."...

This past weekend was one of the warmest on record in London, and the hottest ticket in town was the Hard Rock Calling festival in Hyde Park. The three-day festival boasted headliners Pearl Jam, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney, with a mix of rock and pop acts rounding out the bill, including Ben Harper and Relentless7, the Gaslight Anthem, Jamiroquai, Corinne Bailey Rae and Elvis Costello.
It was the headliners who stole the show each night, and on Friday Pearl Jam had the honor of closing out the first night's festivities. Eddie Vedder hit the stage prior to Pj's set, joining Harper and his band for a rousing rendition of Queen and David Bowie's "Under Pressure."

Jamiroquai star Jay Kay has been accused of threatening a pet breeder in a foul-mouthed phone rant about his dog last week. The singer can allegedly be heard hurling abuse in the voice message he left for Carole Brooks, who had asked for permission to breed Kruger, the rare Blue German Shepherd she sold him.
In the recorded rant, a man believed to be Kay shouts, "You need to get something through your f**king head. You breed dogs, I bought one off you, now it's my dog. I'm not f**king joking... You f**k me about with f**king emails and messages anymore I'll personally come down there and sort it out - do you understand me? You don't f**king dare send me messages, he's now part of my f**king family."
And Brooks, who suffers from an anxiety disorder, admits the message has left her terrified.

No one could blame you if you imagined even for a second that a show about flashy sports cars wasn’t your cup of tea. Until last year I was in the same shabby, Winnebago [read: boat]. Usually, when someone says to me “It must be good, look at how many people watch it!” I laugh it off. Television programming tends to be more successful the more mindless it is, I’m sorry if you disagree, but more often than not it’s the plain-spoken truth. American shows like American Idol pat themselves on the back when they hit 38 million viewers per episode. Top Gear? It boasts 350 million viewers worldwide and frankly, I can’t blame a single one of them.
Hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May love themselves a fast, sleek, beautifully styled automobile. They rarely agree on which car fits all those descriptions, but that’s half the fun.

If all publicity really was good publicity, then Gatorade probably wouldn't have minded so much about the unsolicited—and, as it turns out, totally illegal—ad campaign a Colorado pop artist launched this week. But that axiom pretty much bit the dust yesterday, when bottle bootlegger Jason Kay was slapped with a felony charge and two misdemeanor counts after tampering with the labels on the sports beverage by affixing custom-made stickers featuring Tiger Woods and the word "unfaithful." The 38-year-old Kay, who apparently fessed up to the Fda investigators just as quickly as he did to the local news crews, could get five years in prison for his backfired experiment in pop art. Not...

I’ve been having an interesting debate with @Bang2Write on Twitter about how women and men are treated in the media. It comes in the face of Katie Price walking away from I’m A Celebrity after being consistently voted for a string of disgusting tasks. The conversation started with this comment:
I’m ashamed of the public’s bullying of Katie Price. I wonder if she wld be so hated if she was a man?
To be honest, it got me thinking – how many male celebs get the same level of stick for shameful antics in the public eye? You’ve got Liam Gallagher and Jay Kay (Jamiroquai) hassling photographers, Pete Doherty generally being quite a high-profile junkie. Bang2Write goes on to cite Eddie Murphy and Steve Bing for denying paternity of their respective children, Anton Du Beke for getting off rather lightly for his racial slur.
