Born during the Great Depression in 1931, Bob was the second child of Daniel John Mayne and Ann Haley Mayne of Ironton, Ohio. His father died when Bob was 7 and his mother Ann moved her family to California. His mother was strict, but Bob admired her strength and often said his mother was the most influential person in his life. It was at a party that Bob noticed a lady wearing black toreador pants. Bob ended up marrying that woman, Margaret Crohen Mayne (his wife for 30 years). They raised two daughters, Lisa and Linda, encouraging them to follow their heart's desires, no matter how high those desires might range. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his older sister, Joan Hogan; and his wife Margaret. Bob is survived by his daughter Lisa Mayne and son-in-law Paul Myszka, of Reston, Va.; his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Robert Swan, of Thousand Oaks, CA; and grandchildren Kelsey Swan of Denver and Robbie Swan of Thousand Oaks.
