With the release of Kung Fu Panda 4 and The Electric State later this year, Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan will see his next project, action thriller With Love, released in early 2025, as Universal confirmed a February 7, 2025 release date for the movie. This is some great piece of information, as the project has been kept a secret by Universal for some time now and the number of details we have about it is quite small.
Aside from Quan, who is going to star in the movie, we know that Jonathan Eusebio is going to be directing it in his directorial debut. Eusebio is best known as a stunt and fight coordinator who has worked on some major action titles including The Avengers, John Wick, and Deadpool 2, so it is definitely going to be interesting to see how he is going to do in his new role. Robert Downey Jr. took home his first Oscar on Sunday night… but he also took a heap of criticism for how he accepted it.
It made for an awkward moment during Sunday’s Oscars ceremony when the award for Best Supporting Actor was presented by five former winners, including last year’s champ Ke Huy Quan, who won for Everything Everywhere All at Once. Quan excitedly announced Downey as this year’s winner for his role as Lewis Strauss in Oppenheimer, and Quan held the Oscar statuette and the envelope with Downey’s name on it as Downey made his way to the stage.
