Michael Ruggiero is a veteran television/production executive and upstanding member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA) who has served at major networks such as Bravo, IFC, Starz, Encore and most recently as the Senior Vice President of Programming at EPIX, an MGM Company. He has led innovative change as the head of departments defining strategy, creative vision, mission statements, business goals and negotiated countless acquisition, production and development deals. He has produced over 100 hours of programming including scripted and non-scripted material as well as features and documentaries for both linear and digital distribution platforms. In 2011 Ruggiero founded Nightscape Entertainment which specializes in genre product and produced his first theatrical release as a segment of the popular horror anthology film, "The Theatre Bizarre" directed by horror film legend, Tom Savini. The company continues to develop genre related material with several new and exciting projects in the works including the film version of legendary comic book creator Will Eisner's "A Contract With God" which was announced at San Diego Comic Con. Ruggiero's past work includes dozens of film/TV productions such as "Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film," "Blood Sucking Cinema," "Buy the Ticket Take the Ride: Hunter S. Thompson on Film," "Bullets Over Hollywood," "Fantastic Flesh: The Art of Make-up Effects," "The Spaghetti West," "Doc of the Dead," and "Crash" the TV series.
