- The film Freerunner (2011) was originally written for Daniel O'Neill (with a different cast) and he was set to be the lead role and it was to be shot in Bangkok, Thailand. Daniel trained for 1 year for the role. After a change of circumstances, the film drop from Thailand and shot in America with a new cast.
- When Daniel was 19, Raymond Chow (Hong Kong Producer ) personally invited up him to his office at Shaw Brother Studios (in Hong Kong) for a one-on-one meeting because Raymond was impressed with his skills and wished him luck in the industry.
- In 2002 Daniel got a chance to do a live audition in front of Donnie Yen for the movie 'Twins Effect', where they were looking for a western stunt actor to fight Jackie Chan. Donnie Yen was instantly impressed with Daniel and got him on board immediately, this is where Daniel's dreams came true and he had one on one fight scene with Jackie Chan.
