Since 2017 we’ve been watching two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey’s fall from grace unfold after several men accused the actor of s*xual assault and inappropriate behavior. Although the jury in the US found Spacey not liable in actor Anthony Rapp’s civil suit over the molestation allegation and dismissed the particular lawsuit against him, the actor is still facing ongoing legal battles in London.

The accusations against former producer Harvey Weinstein resulted in a series of similar cases in Hollywood, one of which was opened against two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey, who was then earning praise for his work on the series House of Cards. Spacey was first accused of inappropriate behavior by actor Anthony Rapp, after which 15 other alleged victims came forward. Several cases were opened, and Spacey was tried in both the United States and the United Kingdom, but as it turned out, Spacey was cleared of all the charges made against him, which led to a series of reactions.
Namely, as you might have assumed, Kevin Spacey was blacklisted completely and his career was destroyed because of these proceedings. No one wanted to hire him and while he himself decided to withdraw from the public, the actor had vehemently denied the allegations, especially those of a criminal nature.
So, what actually happened there?...

Update: In his first mainstream television interview in years (excerpted by THR), Kevin Spacey sat down with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation to address what’s being seen as resistance (by some) to his return to acting. While he acknowledges those who have supported him, such as Neeson and Stone, he blames fear for the fact that many have only reached out to him privately rather than publically. “But there are also people that I’ve spoken to who, they love me, they believe in me. They’ve stood with me in private… but they’re afraid to stand up. And I’ve been very fortunate that people have been honest with me about that. And I think that’s a shame, that we’ve come to a place as a society where people are afraid to say what they believe and what they feel because they’re afraid they’re going to get canceled too.

Kevin Spacey spoke to Chris Cuomo in a NewsNation interview on Thursday that marked his first television appearance in years.
During the interview, Spacey said he is “so much happier today, living a more authentic and open life.”
“Now, I want to prove that I’m a man of great character,” he said. “I look forward to being able to prove to people that that I am the merit of who I am as a human being.”
Spacey has not worked in Hollywood since several men accused him of sexual misconduct beginning in 2017. In 2022, a New York jury deemed he was not liable in the 1980s assault of actor Anthony Rapp, and last summer, he was acquitted of nine charges brought against him in London. Several other lawsuits have also been dropped, but this month, 10 more men came forward with alleged abuse in Spacey Unmasked, a two-part Channel 4 documentary directed by Katherine Haywood.

Image created by “Shutterstock.AI” While Basic Instinct was a huge hit with movie audiences back in 1992, critics were, at the time, underwhelmed. The film’s three stars — Michael Douglas, Sharon Stone, and Jeanne Tripplehorn — all wound up with Golden Raspberry nominations for their performances. With the passage of time, however, Basic Instinct has undergone a critical re-evaluation, with several critics now believing it’s one of the essential films of its era. Regardless of its outside reception, though, Douglas will always look back at Basic Instinct as one of his most difficult films. As he said at the time of its release, the Joe Eszterhas script guaranteed that he wouldn’t be getting much rest during the shoot. Actor Michael Douglas, known for his roles in iconic films such as Basic Instinct, Fatal Attraction and Disclosure, recently commented on the recent decrease in on-screen sex scenes.
Douglas, 79, expressed his thoughts on the matter in an interview with the U.K.’s Radio Times and highlighted the emergence of intimacy coordinators in the film industry.
“I’m past the age where I’ve got to worry about that,” Douglas said. “But it’s interesting with all the intimacy coordinators. It feels like executives taking control away from filmmakers — but there have been some terrible faux pas and harassment.”
Douglas shared his personal philosophy on intimate scenes on film: “Sex scenes are like fight scenes; it’s all choreographed. In my experience, you take responsibility as the man to make sure the woman is comfortable. You talk it through. You say, ‘Okay, I’m gonna touch you here if that’s all right.

The evolution of filmmaking spanning the past 50 years has been drastic. An actress as accomplished as Scarlett Johansson would obviously be aware of those changes while picking out potential scripts and sniffing out critical hits. And among all the actors whose films would be worthy of being rebooted or remade, there couldnʼt be a more affluent actor than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Soon after, she became one of The Dean Martin Show’s Golddiggers dancers, and that led her to become part of the all-girl group Fantasy and the musical duo Buckner and Pratt.
She also appeared on such variety shows as The Mac Davis Show, Sonny and Cher and, as a dancer and synchronized swimmer, The Brady Bunch Variety Hour.
In 1977, she landed her signature role of perky Patty Simcox, Grease‘s embodiment of pep and school spirit.
Her death was announced by family.

Ryan Gosling mesmerized everyone at the the prestigious 96th Academy Awards with his iconic performance of I’m Just Ken, a song from Greta Gerwig’s 2023 film, Barbie. The performance was spellbinding as it left everyone at the ceremony grooving to the mellifluous voice of the Blue Valentine actor. Safe to say, that the actor had stole the show on the Oscars stage by being Ken.

Chris Pine, Cynthia Erivo, Kieran Culkin, Sharon Stone and Rosie Perez celebrated Jeff Bridges’ seven-decade career at the 49th annual Chaplin Awards Gala in New York City on Monday night. But the Big Lebowski star almost chose a different career path.
During his acceptance speech for the Film at Lincoln Center‘s prestigious honor, the True Grit star shared that he originally “resisted” the idea of pursuing acting full-time for a few different reasons.
“It made me nervous, anxious, and I had other things I wanted to do,” he told the full auditorium at Alice Tully Hall. “I was very much into music. I loved ceramics, painting, and who wants to do what their parents do anyway?”
He recalled his father, actor Lloyd Bridges, explaining to him that he could do all of those things in this career path and use them all to some degree, which was one of the beauties of the job.

Jeff Bridges isn’t like other leading men. So goes the tale for over 50 years and 70 films. Where other actors of his generation—Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson—brought volume and bravado, Bridges excelled in the shadows. A charming pretty boy turned weary and soulful iconoclast, his characters have never been showy. As The Dude in “The Big Lebowski” or Bad Blake in “Crazy Heart,” he’s moved into his roles and lived in them—“enough,” as one critic wrote as early as 1973, “to make a picture worth seeing.”
“I’m not sure what to make of all that,” Bridges told Variety at Film at Lincoln Center Monday evening, where the actor received the prestigious Chaplin Award. “It’s shocking for myself to think about how many films I’ve done,” he said. “Each film is like a little lifetime. Actress Sharon Stone recalls a traumatic incident in 2001 when she was rushed to the hospital due to a brain haemorrhage that forced her to step away from her career for two years, an absence she believes contributed to her exclusion from the movie industry for two decades.
Speaking on the ‘Turkish Tea Talk with Alex Salmond’ show, Stone opened up about her struggles with mental health: “We’re all trying to confront our demons, and we’re all acting out – me, too, and trying to figure out how to keep getting back up, keep helping people up even if we put them down, and make sure we’re all backup.”
Stone, who works with the World Health Organization, emphasised that one in ten people “on a global level” are in the grip of a “mental crisis”.

The provocative thrillers involving sexually explicit scenes and raising the themes of deviations were particularly popular in the 1990s, with Sharon Stone’s cultish Basic Instinct (1992) and Kubrick-directed Eyes Wide Shut (1999). However, there is one forgotten gem of the genre, which became a controversial sensation back in 1996.
Shockingly, it’s even more explicit and debatable than the mentioned 90’s thrillers, as the fetish featured in it seems to be the craziest one. The point is that this movie follows a film producer James, who, after surviving a car accident, becomes involved with a perverse group of people who are aroused by car collisions, worshiping them.
As the plot progresses, we see how James becomes more and more into this fetish and tries to rekindle his failed relationship with his wife by introducing her to the cult. Besides, be sure there will be loud engine roars and a bunch of devastating fatalities.

Michael Douglas has been immortalized in Hollywood after countless iconic films throughout his career. He has been an influential figure in the film industry, starring in many projects that strayed away from social expectations. Three films stand out in his filmography; Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct, and Disclosure. All of these showcase their female characters in competent, powerful, and central roles, which was unheard of at the time.
Basic Instinct
This is not to say that these films are feminist masterpieces, but they were certainly ahead of their time. Making such movies in the 80s and 90s required a lot of effort and persuasion, as at every point, a question would get asked to the creators: Who is going to watch a movie about women in dominant roles?

"Cheers" was the third highest-rated show on television when Shelley Long opted to quit the series at the end of its fifth season and pursue movie stardom. Though the show had long since settled into its ensemble groove, the on-again/off-again Sam Malone and Diane Chambers romance was the primary generator of water-cooler chatter. Moreover, the chemistry between Long and Ted Danson was the stuff of a series showrunner's dream. Their banter was worthy of Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn. You don't just go out and find another Katharine Hepburn. Could "Cheers," brilliant and popular as it was, survive Long's departure, especially when fans had so much invested in Diane?
This was the conundrum faced by casting director Jeff Greenberg, who'd joined "Cheers" during Long's last season. He knew chasing the next Long was courting disaster, so he looked for an actor who could hold her own with Danson and...

Michael Douglas played Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, in the MCU. Douglas has appeared in all three Ant-Man films, starting with the first one in 2015. However, he was not entirely happy working in the latest film in the trilogy since the filmmakers failed to implement his one wish for his character. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was a disaster at the box office and it is highly doubtful whether Douglas would appear in another MCU film.
Michael Douglas as Hank Pym in Ant-Man
Douglas’ Hank Pym is a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, entomologist, and physicist. He was a friend and colleague of John Slattery’s Howard Stark and Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter. Interestingly, Douglas chose the Ant-Man role after a few failed projects.

In Luca Guadagnino’s latest cinematic endeavor, “Challengers,” Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist form a dynamic, throuple-esque trio, each delivering performances that scream Oscar-worthy. The real question is, will Academy voters look beyond the palpable sexual chemistry to acknowledge the film’s artistic merit? That’s a challenge for the marketing maestros.
Penned by newcomer Justin Kuritzkes, the spouse of “Past Lives” writer-director Celine Song, “Challengers” weaves through a 13-year narrative, chronicling the life of Tashi Duncan (Zendaya), a tennis wunderkind-turned-coach, who hatches a plan for her husband Art’s (Faist) comeback. Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 11, Episode 5 of “The Masked Singer,” “Group C Finals: Shower Anthems Night,” which aired April 3 on Fox.
After two weeks of being on “The Masked Singer” chopping block, Sisqó is finally gone-guh-gone-gone-gone.
I think I’ll sing it again: Sisqó’s been dumped like a truck, truck, truck. “The Masked Singer” has removed his butt, butt, butt. Let me see (who sang) that song!
That’s right, “Thong Song” superstar Sisqó on Wednesday became the latest celebrity to be unmasked on “The Masked Singer,” revealed to be the Lizard.
For Sisqó as the Lizard, several of the panelists had figured it out. Robin Thicke and Rita Ora knew it was Sisqó. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg picked Ray J. Ken Jeong said it was Michael Bivins.
Lizard was voted out after being one of the two lowest vote-getters in the two previous episodes.
